Local boys split with Lancers

Broncos tied for fourth in NE2B league

RITZVILLE – The Broncos boys baseball team split with Liberty (Spangle) on the diamond Tuesday, April 11.

The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague lost the opening game, 7-4, then hit back in the nightcap to overwhelm the Lancers, 13-5.

In the opening loss, Clae Holling had a double to lead the Lancers, and all batters. It was the only double of the game.

For the Broncos, Zach Klein, and Ledger Kelly each had hits.

Jacyce Kelly, Brody Boness and Chase Galbreath pitched for the Broncos.

In the nightcap, Traye Redburn had three hits to lead the Broncos rally.

Brock Kinch and Cooper Miller each had two hits, and Klein added one.

Galbreath, Jerod Harder and Kinch pitched for the Broncos, with Galbreath earning the win.

The local boys were scheduled to play Jenkins (Chewelah) on Tuesday night after The Journal went to press.
