REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS (SOQS)

TOWN OF WASHTUCNA

Request for Qualification Data to Furnish Engineering Services

The Town of Washtucna is requesting qualified engineers to submit

Statements of Qualifications

(SOQ) for providing engineering services related to the design and

construction administration for the Town Well Improvements Project

which includes deepening of the existing well, new well pump motor

and column pipe, new mechanical piping and control valves, new

electrical service panel and transformer, construction of a new pump

house over the well, and upgrades to the existing telemetry and

alarm callout system, and other miscellaneous improvements. The

project budget, including construction, is approximately $895,000.

Consultant selection will be based upon the following criteria,

weighted as indicated: 1) firm experience (15); 2) proposed consultant

team (15); 3) project understanding and approach (20); 4) past

performance/references (15); 5) familiarity with community and local

knowledge (15); and 6) application and administration experience

with federally funded projects, especially Washington Community

Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program (20). Interviews may

be held at the Town’s discretion.

Firms desiring consideration shall submit two copies of their SOQ to

the Town of Washtucna, 165 S. Main Street, Washtucna, WA 99371.

SOQs may also be submitted electronically to the following email

address: [email protected]. Submittals must be received

by February 3, 2023, no later than 4:00 p.m. (local time). SOQs

shall not exceed 25 total pages, excluding front and back covers.

This project is funded through the Washington State Community

Development Block Grant Program with federal funds provided by

the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. As a

result, cost plus percentage of construction cost contracts will not

be allowed and a number of state and federal equal opportunity and

affirmative action requirements will apply to the selection process

and conduct of the project.
