Woman shot in head and leg

OTHELLO — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a New Year’s Eve shooting in the 2200 block of Rainier Road.

As of press time, deputies were continuing their effort to find the suspects.

According to a Sheriff’s Office social media report, a 52-year-old woman was shot in the leg and head at the front door of her residence after answering the door and being confronted by a masked subject.

The suspect had asked the woman about her son prior to the shooting, the report said. The suspect fled when the woman closed the door.
