Week starts off with triple digits

RITZVILLE – After a brief reprieve from triple digit highs, Adams County was back under an excessive heat warning Monday and Tuesday.

The National Weather Service said the temperatures Monday and Tuesday were expected to range from 100 to 106 degrees across regions of Adams County.

The warning was in effect from noon Monday through 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

Nearby Grant, Douglas and southern Lincoln counties were also under the warning.

Meanwhile, most of the rest of Eastern Washington was under a heat advisory, with daily highs to range from the mid-90s to 102 degrees.
