A photo from 75 years ago – Gun Club Members Work on New Trap Grounds: A candid camera shot by Ritzville's friendly photographer, showing some of the work and men who have been donating time to the Gun Club's new trap grounds a mile west on the Moses Lake Highway. When completed, the local group will have one of the best trap shooting grounds in the state, members say.

Rheinforhd Drowns
in McIlroy Lake
Young Man Loses Life While Simming Sunday Morning
Fred Rheinforhd, a young man well known in this community, lost his life by drowning in McIlroy Lake last Sunday about the noon hour. He was attempting to swim cross the lake when he was overcome and although he struggled in the water for sometime, he finally sank before help could reach him.
The body was not recovered until Monday morning, when Deputy Sheriff Lambert and George Coss,working from a raft and using poles, located it.
