Court hired as girls basketball coach

RITZVILLE – Lind-Ritzville has a new high school girls basketball coach.

Bryce Court was selected for the post from among two candidates – the other being the middle school girls basketball coach, John Galbreath.

Court and Galbreath interviewed for the position with a committee of representatives from all districts in the athletic combine, as well as two school board members, a parent, one student athlete and three other coaches.

In a recommendation to Superintendent Don Vanderholm and others, Athletic Director Greg Whitmore wrote: "Both candidates had solid basketball knowledge and experience and both likely could be successful as our head coach. After lengthy discussion, our committee decided to recommend Bryce Court as the next girls basketball coach."

Whitmore also noted "Coach Court is passionate about coaching basketball and his schedule, especially during the summer, will allow him to put in the time necessary to help build girls basketball."
