Michels paces local runners

COLFAX – Lind-Ritzville/Sprague runners were paced by Eli Michels in the District 7 cross country meet Oct. 5.

Michels finished third in the boys 5K event with a time of 18:00.00 and broncos teammate Caleb Heater placed 18th with a time of 21:09.

"Our athletes did outstanding," Cross Country Coach Christina Heater said by email. "Eli came in third and both he and Caleb set personal bests."

In the girls 5k varsity race, eight-grader, Maeve Korthius of Sprague placed 18th out of 22 total runners with a time of 28:16.
