RITZVILLE – At the Wheat Land Communities Fair, 4-H hosted its Demonstration and Fashion Review contest on Sept. 4.
Three people participated in the Fashion Review.
Merit McRae modeled two outfits that her grandmother made for her. Melanie Spivey wore her favorite outfit – her softball uniform, volunteer Carla Jerue reported. And LienHoa Hollenback wore her favorite outfit, a Comicon costume and then modeled a cape she made in 4-H.
“We had 10 demonstrations throughout the day,” Jerue said.
Participants in the demonstrations included McRae, Hollenback, Kalea Herold, Addi Herold, Alaina Heider, Olivia Robbins, Sadie Towne, Regan Korthuis, Maeve Korthuis and Henry McRae.
Hollenback, Maeve Korthuis, and Henry and Merit McRae all qualified with blue ribbons to compete at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Jerue said.
So far, Hollenback had received a blue ribbon and a rosette for her state demonstration, Jerue said.
