RITZVILLE – Little League baseball players haven't been able to enjoy baseball games or practices in a while, but they were treated to a free baseball camp last week.
Owen Telecky, a junior at Lind-Ritzville High School and a varsity starter for the Broncos, organized and ran the camp.
"These kids haven't had baseball in over two years, so I just wanted to give back to them," Telecky said. "I asked a few of my friends to help out, and they were glad to pitch in."
Classmate Thomas Bache-Wiig and freshman Treye Redburn assisted Telecky in running the four-day afterschool camp, along with Little League board member and former Bronco Zach Maier.
Telecky said 12-14 kids showed up, ranging in age from 1st grade to fifth.
