Lind-Ritzville graduation set for June 5

Masks still required for outdoor ceremony

RITZVILLE – The Lind-Ritzville High School Class of 2021 graduates Saturday, June 5, with ceremonies planned for the athletic field.

The gate will open at 1:30 p.m. for attendees.

Principal Kevin Terris said with the number of graduates estimated between 32-38, each graduate will be able to have six tickets for family and friends to attend the event behind the gymnasium at 209 E. Wellsandt Road.

Four of the tickets will be for grandstand seating, and the other two for bleachers to the side of the grandstands.

“All seats provide a great viewing of the ceremony,” Terris said, noting masks are required.

There will be also be disabled-accessible seating, he said.

In the event the ceremony needs to be inside, people will be spread out further to accommodate the coronavirus recommendations, he said.

The Lind-Ritzville High School band will provide music for the ceremony.

Other nearby graduation ceremonies are as follows:

• Kahlotus —June 4 at 7 p.m., on the lawns outside high school building.

• Sprague — June 5 at 4 p.m. in the gymnasium, with seating limited to the graduate’s family members.

• Washtucna — May 28, at 3 p.m. at the high school. Seating may be limited.
