Good Samaritans tackle graffiti mess

RITZVILLE – In an article titled "Vandals damage Storywalk, tag locations in town," in last week's issue of The Journal, Ritzville Police Officer Matt Carlson was quoted crediting Public Works Employee Ned Bernath with cleaning up vandalism on the Storywalk. The Journal has since learned that Ritzville Drug Co. employee Jessica Kidwell beat Bernath to the clean-up.
Kidwell took her 14-year-old daughter Shelby and their friend Lilly Kannin, 13, to remove the graffiti from the kiosks along the walking path.
