Beware of what is happening in Washington, D.C.
The so-called Equality Act is now in the Senate after passing the House and having President Biden's support. This act is supposedly an extension of the 1964 Civil Rights bill which was to help ethnic groups, not liberal/unconventional groups like the transgender/LGBT who think they're
entitled to anything they want with little or no discrimination. This will affect all institutions; public, private, religious.
The transgender restroom/locker room/shower theme is overriding the individual right to privacy and physical security, besides being impolite/unnatural/sexual harassment. The transgender guy competing as a female athlete is very unfair and ignores Title 9 of 1972 that equalizes female sports (high school, college) for facilities/coaches/sports.
Recently, an extensive biological Oxford University study determined there is no transgender gene. A recent national poll (KMBI radio) says 68% of the public recognizes just female and male gender. A relative high percentage of Republicans concur, but just 52% of Democrats agree.
More and more Democrats are becoming more progressive and more liberal, playing up to liberty and the rights of all and any individual, among other things. Many are over-reactive and outspoken and are advocating new trends: transgenderality, police defunding, socialism, trying to change history (statues, pictures, renaming military bases and schools), blaming mankind's carbon emissions for climate change, etc. Mother Nature puts far more in the atmosphere with volcanoes, dust and fire storms and evaporites (oceans, large lakes). The climate runs in cycles (see ice cores from Greenland and the Antarctic).

Submitting my Amazon orders
There are some things I like very much about Amazon and my Amazon Prime Account, but Amazon isn’t perfect.
I like the fact that I can stay at home and order the exact hardware fittings I want without sorting through bins at hardware stores . I like knowing my order will be at my house within a few days. I like the fact that I can send things back and get a refund simply by printing a label, going to a local address, and turning my purchase over. I like the idea that while a hundred people who all want just one thing might use their time and gas to go out and make their purchase, Amazon condenses that process to drivers dedicated to that job using far less gas, making far less pollution, and eliminating most shopping time.
But there are some things about Amazon that I don’t like and they should be fixed. The most important ones concern the employee work environment. For example, taking a bathroom break while on the clock should be a right. Deciding to join a Union should be a right.
Unions have been creating safer work environments and healthier, happier workers for over a hundred years.
If Amazon doesn’t welcome Unionization then perhaps I should start the “Prime Motivation Club” where Prime Members start ordering a bunch of stuff and then sending most of it back - over and over - until Amazon stops thwarting Unionization.
That short list of fixes is enough for now.
