Family fun in the sun

RITZVILLE – The Riggs family enjoyed a day in the sun Saturday, Mar. 13.

Tossing a football, climbing the rope wall and seeing how high they could get on the swingsets at Ritzville Grade School were Jicaela Riggs, 13; Jeiyda Riggs, 10; Jaylen Riggs, 8; and Jasmine Riggs, 5. Helping the kids gain altitude were newlyweds Jay and Jessica Riggs of Ritzville.

"It's nice to be out and not cramped up in the house," Jay Riggs said. "It's fun to be able to get out and enjoy this nice day."

"It is a nice day, and after this I hope we can go get ice cream," Jicaela Riggs said. "Then we're going to have a barbecue and a family night, and watch a movie."

Jessica Riggs said the family traveled to Idaho the previous day to see the new Disney movie, "Raya and the Last Dragon," and were looking forward to watching "Tom and Jerry," also a new Disney film. That movie will be playing at the Ritz April 2-3.

Jessica Riggs, who works at the Eagles Aerie in Ritzville, said she was also looking forward to a Crab Feast at the Eagles April 2.

"Instead of doing our usual Friday night prime rib, we're bringing in crab," Jessica Riggs said.
