Osborne joins irrigation district board of directors

RITZVILLE – Adams County Commissioners hired a new director for East Columbia Basin Irrigation District 1.

Don Osborne of Moses Lake interviewed for the position January 27, along with Mark Booker of Wenatchee. Booker said he was eligible to run, as a landowner of property in the district leased out for farming.

The commissioners chose Osborne for the position. He joins board members Kevin Lyle, Reid Baker, Duane Anderson and Bernie Erickson. The board of directors oversees the manager of the district, which is Craig Simpson.
