Suspicious 911 – 2100 block West Clyde Lane Othello

Dispatch advised of multiple 911 hang-ups near the location with a female asking for help during one call with no address given. Deputies responded and spoke with multiple subjects who advised of no issues and gave no signs of criminal activity. Unable to locate any females or complainant.

Suspicious 911 – 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Dispatch advised of two 911 calls from the location. Upon contacting the residents, it was determined no 911 calls were made from the location.

Citizen Assist West Bench Road Othello

Complainant advised his daughter had struck a dog on at the location near the canal. There was no damage to the vehicle and the dog owner picked up the dog and left the scene.

Suspicious – 500 block East Urquhart Road Ritzville

Complainant reported seeing a suspicious male subject walking on his property, through remote cameras. Deputies contacted the subject, who said he was out of gas and was on his way to Ellensburg. The complainant arrived and checked the house and property. Nothing was taken and there was no sign of an attempted burglary. Ritzville Towing arrived and provided the subject with enough fuel to continue west towards Ellensburg.

Alarm – 1800 block West Sutton Road Othello

Alarm at the location. Deputies checked and all doors were secure and there were no signs of forced entry. The responsible party did not answer when called.

Citizen Assist – 2200 block West Cunningham Road Othello

Complainant advised of a female subject in the parking lot of the location. A records check showed the female had an active Silver Alert for her out of Whitman County. Family was contacted and came to give the female a ride home. The female was given food and the vehicle she was driving was secured.

Suspicious – 2200 block West Bench Road Othello

Complainant contacted dispatch to report hearing multiple gunshot sounds near the location. The complainant could not provide any additional details. Deputies found no suspicious activity or signs of recent gunfire occurring in the area.

Traffic Accident – 600 block South Sara Lane Othello

Deputies were dispatched to a traffic accident at the location. Deputies contacted the complainant and determined a hit and run collision occurred within the past 24 hours. Investigation is ongoing.

December 19

Animal Problem – South McKinney Road and West Hatton Road Othello

Deputies responded to an animal problem call. Deputies searched the area without locating any cows.

Malicious Mischief – 2100 block West Hatton Road Othello

While on patrol, gang-related markings were observed on Telco equipment boxes near the location. The boxes were not significantly damaged by the markings. Investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Hazard – 600 block South Hays Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a horse on the roadway near the location. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the responsible. The responsible later arrived and took custody of the horse.

Suspicious 911 – 700 block South Lucy Road Othello

Dispatch received a suspicious 911 hang up at the location. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the responsible. The responsible advised it was from the business line and was an accidental dial.

Suspicious – 700 block South Booker Road Othello

Complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle parked near the location for several hours. Deputies checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.

Suspicious – 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Deputies observed a suspicious vehicle in an area with gang tagging during hours of darkness. The subject was advised to leave the area as it is closed after dark.

December 20

Traffic Offense – South Taylor Road and West Rainier Road Othello

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for moving and equipment violations. Timothy Alan Johnson, 23, of Moses Lake was arrested for driving while license suspended. The vehicle was towed from the scene as it was a traffic hazard.

Suspicious 911 – 700 block South Lucy Road Othello

Deputies responded to a suspicious 911 hang up call at the location. Deputies searched the area and did not locate anyone or observed anything suspicious. Office building was locked and secured.

Trespassing – 2200 block West Barbara Road Othello

Complainant observed a subject running through the front yard. Deputies searched but did not locate any subjects.

Citizen Assist – West Lee Road Othello

Deputies assisted removing a vehicle off the roadway and provided a courtesy ride to a subject.

Suspicious – South Thacker Road and West Rainier Road Othello

Complainant contacted dispatch to report headlights visible on his property. Deputies checked and were unable to locate any vehicles on the property.

Violation of court order – 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Deputies investigated a possible violation of a court order. Limited details were provided and contact could not be made with petitioner.

Animal problem – West Highway 26 and South Hays Road Othello

Deputies responded to cows on the roadway. Washington State Patrol handled the issue.

Deputies responded to a possibly impaired driver. The vehicle could not be located.

Suspicious - West Highway 26 and South Taylor Road Othello

Deputies responded to a suspicious van and two subjects standing next to it. The van was gone prior to deputies arrival.

Agency assist – North Seivers Road and East Weber Road Ritzville

Deputies assisted Washington State Patrol with the conclusion of a vehicle pursuit.

Suspicious 911 – 700 block South Lucy Road Othello

Deputies responded to several suspicious 911 calls. It was determined to be a faulty line.

Malicious mischief – 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Deputies responded to vandalism of a vehicle. Several juveniles fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. Ongoing investigation.

December 21

Burglary – 3000 block North Thiel Road Ritzville

Deputies responded to a burglary where a shed was entered and items were moved out, but not taken.

Citizen assist – 600 block South Canal Road Othello

Complainant was assisted with questions regarding marital civil issues.

Animal Problem – 1300 block East Heinemann Road Ritzville

Complainant found a lost dog. Pet rescue information was provided.

Malicious mischief – 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Complainant reported gang-related graffiti on his fence.

Theft – 2500 block West Highway 26 Othello

Complainant reported theft of gasoline. Extra patrols are being conducted in the area.

Theft – South Booker Road and West Foley Road Othello

Deputies took a report on a theft of solar panels, this is an ongoing investigation.

Citizen Assist – Marengo Area Ritzville

Complainant reported a possible dispute of land between owner and renter. No criminal actions were noted.

Citizen Dispute – 100 block Apple Alley Lane Hatton

Deputies responded to a citizen dispute. Contact was made with the subjects involved and found it to be a verbal argument only.

Alarm – 100 block West First Street Lind

False alarm.

Burglary – South Billington Road and West Gillis Road Othello

Complainant reported a theft of tools and parts. Deputies arrived and found the complainant already looking through the property. This is an ongoing investigation.

Suspicious-911 – 700 block South Lucy Road Othello

Dispatch received a 911 call from the location. This is an ongoing issue with a faulty phone system/line.

Alarm – 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Monitoring company reported a panic alarm. Deputies arrived and made contact with the employees. They advised of a disorderly customer who had already left.

December 23

Malicious Mischief – 300 block East 5th Street Lind

Complainant reported their residence getting damaged with eggs. The subject(s) have not been identified.

Weapon Offense – North Marcellus Road Ritzville

Complainant reported unknown subject shooting two of his animals and ended the call. Deputies responded and did not locate any animals, hear shooting, or observe any signs of distress. Contact was made at the phone numbers registered address and it was learned the phone was no longer associated with the address.

Citizen Assist – 600 block South Hays Road Othello

Complainant requested a subject be trespassed from their property. Contact with the subject is pending to advise of the trespass order.

Malicious Mischief – 600 block South Diana Lane Othello

Deputies observed gang-related graffiti while patrolling the area.

December 24

Civil Matter – 2188 W April St. Othello

Complainant attempted to report a vehicle as stolen. After investigating, it was determined the vehicle was not stolen as permission was given to the subject who took it. The vehicle was parked in a different jurisdiction.

Theft – 1500 block North Wahl Road Ritzville

Complainant reported a theft of mail. Deputies documented a damaged mailbox.

Civil Matter – 1100 block South Lyda Lane Othello

Deputies responded to a reported trespassing in progress. It was determined to be a civil dispute over property. The incident was documented and subjects advised t seek private legal counsel.

Suspicious - South Lucy Road and West Foley Road Othello

Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the area. Deputies were not able to locate the vehicle.

Agency Assist – Othello Police Department

Deputies assisted Othello Police Department with an area search to locate a subject in distress. The subject was located and transported to Othello Community Hospital for treatment.

Agency Assist – Washington State Patrol – Ritzville

Deputies assisted Washington State Patrol with an area search of a subject walking on the interstate. The subject was located and given a courtesy ride to a safe location.

Traffic Accident – South Taylor Road and West Spur Lane Road Othello

Complainant reported a vehicle versus canine collision. Deputies found it to be reportable damage to the vehicle. The canine was not located after an area search.

December 25

Traffic Accident – 600 block South Andes Road Othello

Deputies responded to a reported hit/run collision. Deputies located the responsible vehicle. Contact was attempted with the registered owner without success. The vehicle was towed for evidence. The driver was later contacted. Twenty-six-year-old Abundio Trinidad-Veatriz of Othello was arrested for Hit & Run.

Domestic – 300 block E 3rd Street Lind

Deputies responded to a reported Domestic Violence call. The victim said the suspect left the scene prior to arrival and was not forthcoming with information on the assault.

Suspicious – 2500 block West Highway 26 Othello

Complainant advised of two subjects shooting a rifle near the location. The subjects were not firing at anyone, but it scared the complainant’s mother. Deputies searched the area for the subjects, with negative results.

Traffic Accident – 800 block South Highway 24 Othello

Deputies responded to a reported multi vehicle collision. Deputies arrived and took the collision report. No one was injured.

Agency Assist – Washington State Patrol Ritzville

Deputies assisted WSP with taking collision reports due to multiple collisions occurring throughout the county.

Suspicious – North Marcellus Roadd and East Tokio Road Ritzville

Complainant reported a possible abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and made contact with the registered owner. The vehicle had broken down and would be removed as weather permitted.

Domestic – 100 block South Church Street Washtucna

Deputies responded to the location for a reported Domestic Violence involving a juvenile suspect.

December 26

Agency Assist – Franklin County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies assisted Franklin County Sheriff’s Office with a burglary investigation.

Suspicious – 2200 block West Parks Lane Othello

Complainant reported a suspicious subject walking in the area. Deputies checked the area and were not able to locate the subject as described.

Agency Assist – Ritzville Police Department

Deputies assisted the Ritzville Police Department with a suicidal subject call. It was determined the subject was not suicidal as reported.

Suspicious – 600 block South Drury Lane Othello

Complainant reported an unknown vehicle parked outside of their residence. Deputies made contact with a subject related to the vehicle who removed the vehicle.

Standby Peace – 2200 block West Barbara Road Othello

Deputies stood by to ensure the peace while the complainant removed personal items at the location.

Suspicious – West Highway 26 and South Reynolds Road Othello

Complainant reported a vehicle parked on the highway with its doors open but unattended. Attempts to contact the registered owner were not successful. The vehicle was locked and secured.

Traffic Accident – West Rosenoff Road and North Moody Road Ritzville

Deputies responded to a single vehicle non-injury collision at the location. A collision investigation was conducted.

Theft of Vehicle – 1100 block South Athey Road Othello

Complainant reported a broken-down vehicle was stolen from their property. Deputies attempted contact multiple times with complainant without success.

Traffic Accident – South Booker Road and West Lee Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a one-vehicle roll-over collision at the location. Upon arrival, the driver had already left the scene. The vehicle did not appear to have significant damage. Deputies contacted the registered owner’s residence and were advised the vehicle would be removed by the owner and a friend.

Agency Assist – Washington State Patrol Ritzville

Deputies assisted WSP with a collision investigation due to multiple collisions throughout the county.

Runaway Juvenile – 100 block South Church Street Washtucna

Report of a runaway juvenile. Deputies located the juvenile, and returned them home.

December 27

Traffic Accident – South Booker Road and West Lee Road Othello

Complainant reported a collision. Deputies arrived and found it was the same collision as the day prior but the vehicle had not been removed.

Suspicious – West McManamon Road and West Sutton Road Othello

Complainant reported seeing red flares being fired into the sky. Deputies checked the Columbia Wildlife Refuge and surrounding areas. Flares were not observed and no one in distress was found.

Traffic Accident – West McManamon Road and South Solbeck Road Othello

Complainant reported a single-vehicle collision where the driver was transported to Othello Community Hospital for treatment.

Suspicious – North Hills Road and East Danekas Road Ritzville

Complainant reported a green passenger vehicle in the roadway with no headlights on. Deputies did not locate the vehicle.

Suspicious – 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Complainant reported hearing a crunching sound coming from their backyard. Deputies determined the sound was from an animal crossing through the property.

Agency Assist – Washington State Patrol Ritzville

Deputies responded to a traffic stop on I-90 as a backup unit for WSP as they were with a subject with an arrest warrant.

December 28

Traffic Accident – Highway 395 near milepost 95 Ritzville

Deputies located a semi-truck which had gone off the roadway. The incident was handled by WSP.

Abandoned Vehicle – West Bench Road and South Grace Lane Othello

Complainant reported an abandoned vehicle. Deputies arrived and found the vehicle was parked safely off the roadway. The responsible was contacted and later removed the vehicle.

Suspicious – 000 block South Neilson Avenue Lind

Report of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

Abandoned Vehicle – 200 block West South First Street Lind

Report of tenants leaving behind an abandoned trailer. Contact was made with the tenants who agreed to remove the trailer.

Citizen Assist – 600 block South Kristina Road Othello

Complainant reported a lost personal document that she needed for work. Complainant was advised she needed to file a report to get a new document issued. Complainant was provided with a case number.

Nuisance/Noise – 2300 block West Sherman Lane Othello

Complainant reported loud music. Deputies did not locate the source of the sound. The complainant called again. Deputies checked a second time, found the source of the music and advised responsible to lower the music to an acceptable level.

Unsecured Premises – 200 block West 2nd Street Lind

Complainant reported lights being on in a building which is supposed to be secured and unoccupied. Deputies found the building to be secured with no signs of forced entry.

Suspicious – 200 block East 3rd Street Lind

Deputies observed an unsecured vehicle with the door open. Attempts to contact the registered owner were made without success. The vehicle was secured and nothing appeared to be missing.

Suspicious – 2100 block West Cunningham Road Othello

Deputies contacted a subject near the canal bank at late nighttime hours. The subject advised they were fishing and later left the area.

December 29

Suspicious – 700 block South Ridgeview Loop Othello

Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle in the area. Deputies arrived and made contact with the vehicle. The driver advised they had stopped to make a phone call and left the area.

Traffic Offense – 2200 block Deborah Court Othello

Deputies made contact with 41-year-old Carlos Hector Rodriguez of Othello at the location. Rodriguez had an active arrest warrant and had his driver’s license suspended. Rodriguez had been observed driving prior to contact being made. Rodriguez was arrested and booked into jail for the arrest warrant and driving while license suspended.

Domestic – 2200 West Rainier Road Othello

Unknown complainant called 911 advised of a domestic call-in progress and hung up. Deputies responded to the location and made contact with subjects who denied a domestic occurring. The complainant was later located and advised the incident had been reported to Moses Lake where an incident report was confirmed to be taken by MLPD.

December 30

Traffic Accident – East Danekas Road and East Schoessler Road Ritzville

Complainant contacted dispatch to report a possible traffic accident near the location. Deputies arrived on scene and observed a vehicle stuck in the ditch. The vehicle was removed without being damaged.

Animal Problem – 900 block South McKinney Road Othello

Report of a black cow out at the location. Deputies located the cow and coordinated its return to responsible parties.

Citizen Assist – 600 block South Wagon Road Othello

Complainant advised of an unknown subject on their property. Deputies responded and determined a male subject suffering from mental health issues had left home. The male subject was roaming the neighborhood while his family was out looking for him. Deputies assisted family members with locating the male subject.

Agency Assist – 800 block East Mt. Adams Street Othello

Othello Police Department requested assistance with unlocking a vehicle. The vehicle contained two small children and the vehicle was running. Deputies assisted with unlocking the vehicle.

December 31

Agency Assist – East I-90 near milepost 213 Ritzville

WSP requested assistance with locating a vehicle on the side of the highway. Deputies arrived on scene and determined the vehicle was unoccupied, secured and had been tagged by WSP.

Fraud – 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello

Report of attempted fraud via telephone call. Deputies contacted the complainant who did not give any personal information to the caller.

Suspicious – 700 block South Ridgeview Loop Othello

Dispatch advised of a reported large truck honking its horn near the location and the complainant believed the driver may be in distress. Deputies checked the area all around the complainant’s location and did not hear any horns or see anyone in distress.

Alarm – 600 block South Kaylee Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a reported residential burglary alarm at the location. Deputies observed it to appear to be secure with no signs of entry since the recent weather event.

Weapon Offense – North Johnson Road and West Lind-Warden Road Lind

Report of a subject shooting at pheasants out of a vehicle at the location. Deputies checked the area and surrounding location. Unable to locate any vehicles and unable to hear gunshots in the area. Information was passed on to Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Weapon Offense – 800 block South Highway 24 Othello

Report of possible gunfire near the location. Deputies contacted multiple people outside the location and none heard any gun fire. There were fireworks actively being set off while deputies were on the call.
