Alec Ross Williamson

Alec Ross Williamson, 38, of Watertown, NY, passed away on October 13, 2020, as the result of a work related accident. Alec was born on January 5, 1882, in Moses Lake, WA, the son of Donald Williamson and Laurinda Holland Williamson.

He attended grade school at Hutton Elementary, Spokane, WA and moved to Lind WA, in 1994, where he graduated in 2000.

Alec is a veteran of the United States Army. He entered the army in January 2004 and completed his service honorably as a Staff Sergeant. He served a tour in Korea and two tours in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Alec was medically discharged in March 2011, after injuring his back in Afghanistan.

For his service, Alec earned the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement medal, The Good conduct Medal, the coveted Combat Infantryman Badge and his Airbourne Wings.

Alec took over the role as Director at Fort Drum, NY, for the Adirondack Chapter Of the Salute Military Golf association (SMGA) to help other wounded veterans. Alec was very passionate about this program and was always there for his peers and friends that he made during his time in the service.

After the Army, Alec went back to school to get his Electrician's license, he then worked for a couple of paper plants in Watertown, NY, and in August of 2018 he entered the Lineman School for Verizon, upon graduation in October 2018 he went to work for them.

Alec met Corrie Peckham in 2008, they married on June 21st, 2014. Without a doubt they were soulmates, the love of each other's lives.

Alec enjoyed golfing, working out, kayaking, hanging with family and friends and watching his nieces and nephews play sports.

Alec had a smile and a hug always and was treasured for his antics and sense of humor.

Alec is survived by his loving wife, Corrie and their dog. Max, his mother, Laurinda (Dane) Strausz, in Lind, his father, Don (Lynette) Williamson, in Moses Lake , 5 brothers- D.J. Williamson, his wife Breanne, and their children, Lance and Paige, in Lind, Andrew Ritz and his partner, Tracy Stine in Seattle, Kyle and Ian Ritz, in Lind and Aaron Ritz, in Airway Heights, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Casilda Peckham, brother -in-law and sister-in-law, Jesse and Michelle Peckham, and their children, Jaren, Mollie, Nora, and Case in Watertown, NY, and many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers and battle buddies.

A celebration of Life was held in Watertown, NY on October 24th. His family in Washington will hold a memorial service at a later date.
