Blankenship, Weise take lead in commissioner races

RITZVILLE – It's looking like Adams County will have two new commissioners next year.

Following tonight's prelimiary tally in the general election, Jay Weise of Othello leads in the Adams County Commissioner District No. 2 race with 2,402 votes to Ken Johnson's 810 votes.

There were 39 write-in votes for other candidates in the first count.

“I appreciate everybody's support,” Weise said. “I look forward to serving the county and doing the best we can.”
