ADMAS COUNTY – Open burning is allowed beginning Friday, Oct 23, for Ritzville Adams County Fire District No. 1, City of Ritzville, Lind Adams County Fire District No. 2 and Washtucna Adams County Fire District No. 7. It will remain open until next summer’s closure.

Adams County Fire District No. 1 Chief Scott Kembel said people need to call the sheriff’s office at 509 659 1122 before they begin burning. Kembel said piles of yard waste measuring 4’ x 4’ x 3’ can be burned, but must be attended at all times, and put out at night.

Fire Chiefs Kevin Starring and David Miller said the same rules apply in Lind and Washtucna.
