September 26

Recovered Vehicle - 800 block West Rehn Road Ritzville

Deputies responded to a report of an abandoned trailer/utility vehicle at the location and determined it had been reported stolen to an agency in Grant County. The vehicle combination was impounded as its owner could not be contacted.

Nuisance/Noise - 300 block South Reynolds Road Othello

Deputies responded to a noise complaint and advised the responsible to turn down the loud music.

September 27

Domestic - 2100 block West Bench Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a cold domestic where the complainant advised her husband had assaulted her.

Suspicious - East Danekas Road and East Schoessler Road Ritzville

Report of a suspicious vehicle parked near the rail road tracks at the location. The subject was sleeping in their car and advised to move along.

Animal Problem - 1000 block South Hi-Lo Drive Othello

Report of an animal problem call at the location. The cow was placed back on the property before arrival.

Hazardous Condition - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Report of drinking water coming out of the tap yellowish brown in color. This problem started after someone was drilling at Taggares Park a few days ago. The water district was contacted and advised they would handle the matter.

Citizen Assist - 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello

Report of a harassment call at the location. Subject wanted her grandchild removed from the father. Deputies advised the subject to contact the courts.

Suspicious - 100 block North “I” Street Lind

Driver was warned about operating a vehicle not licensed for roadway usage.

DUI - 600 block South Saddle Road Othello

Report of a possible DUI at a location in the city limits. Deputies were unable to locate any vehicles matching the description provided.

Traffic Hazard - West Bench Road and South Taylor Road Othello

Report of brown colored passenger vehicle that almost swerved off the roadway near the location. Deputies were unable to locate any vehicles matching the description.

Agency Assist - 400 block East Birch Avenue Ritzville

Ritzville Police requested assistance in contacting a subject that was wanted in connection with an assault investigation. While assisting, it was requested the subject be transported to the Adams County Jail while Ritzville Police responded to a higher priority call.

September 28

Weapon Offense - 2000 block North Durry Road Ritzville

Complainant advised a subject with a gun shot wound to his hand arrived at the location asking for help. The subject was transported to East Adams Rural Hospital for treatment, and later transported to Spokane for further treatment. Investigation is ongoing.

Animal Problem - 600 block East Spokane Avenue Washtucna

Complainant was checking meters for the town of Washtucna when she was bit by a dog. The complainant said the dog is a great Pyrenees/lab mix and known to be protective/aggressive toward strangers. The complainant has a different city employee check the meter at that location and will call back if there are more issues with the dog.

Agency Assist - South 14th Avenue Othello

A two-vehicle collision occurred at the location and the Othello Police Department was notified. Deputies conducted traffic control until the vehicles were moved.

Suspicious - 2100 block West June Street Othello

Report of a suspicious vehicle near the location. Deputies contacted the subject who was there working on the yard and installing a fence.

Civil Matter - 2500 block West Bench Road Othello

Complainant reported she made a verbal agreement with a male subject to install a sprinkler system and she had not heard from the subject in over a month. Deputies advised her to contact the courts due to the matter being civil.

Theft - 2100 block West Mitchell Lane Othello

Deputies contacted a complainant who advised a subject had taken his daughter’s cell phone. Investigation is ongoing.

Custodial Interference - 200 block East 3rd Street Lind

Complainant requested the presence of a deputy while he contacted his ex in Lind regarding custody of their two children. Both parties were advised to contact the courts.

Suspicious - West Heinemann Road and North Deal Road Ritzville

Complainant reported a suspicious red car parked near his property. The red car left and later returned. The car was parked for about 15 minutes then left west bound on Heinemann Road.

Citizen Assist - 800 block South Highway 24 Othello

Complainant reported a juvenile subject left the location without permission. Deputies contacted the complainant and advised the juvenile is already in the system as an active runaway.

September 29

Animal Problem - Ashby

Complainant reported cows on railroad right of way at railroad milepost 314. As there are no roads, dispatch gave the complainant information for cattle owners in the area.

Animal Problem - 700 block South Las Palmas Lane Othello

Complainant reported a chicken being killed by the neighbor’s dogs. Deputies contacted the owner of the dogs and advised them they would receive a letter concerning the incident, and advised them what they needed to do with their dogs.

Suspicious - 1400 block East Seidl Road Ritzville

Complainant reported a vehicle trespassing at her residence. Investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious - East I-90 and South Bauman Street Ritzville

Complainant reported a subject stopped by a gray Chevy Malibu with red/blue lights on the dashboard at about 10:30. The driver was wearing a neon green long sleeve shirt with a black colored bullet proof vest with Velcro falling off the right side. Complainant thought the vest looked like a costume. The subject was possibly a Hispanic male wearing sunglasses and a blue baseball hat. When confronted and asked for a supervisor, the subject left heading south at a high rate of speed. Investigation is ongoing.

Trespassing - East Allert Road Washtucna

Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle at the location, then later advised the vehicle is his neighbor’s new pickup and he did not want to pursue the matter any further.

Citizen Assist - West June Street Othello

Report of a vehicle blocking an alley near the location. The alley is not a through street and the vehicle belongs to the owner of the property just to the north.

Vehicle Prowl - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Complainant came to the Othello substation to report a vehicle prowl which occurred within the last week. Investigation is ongoing.

Threatening - 2200 block West Charla Lane Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a juvenile receiving death threats on social media.

Fire - 100 block West 5th Street Lind

Report of a trash fire in the back yard. Deputies observed a small fire and advised subject to put the fire out.

Traffic Hazard - South Booker Road Othello

Report of a dump truck blocking the roadway near the location.

Citizen Assist - 2600 block West Yeisley Road Othello

Report of a citizen assist call at the location. Complainant advised she had a protection order against a subject. Deputies advised her to contact law enforcement if the subject is near her property.

September 30

Recovered Property - 2400 block West Bench Road Othello

Complainant advised of a vehicle parked in his driveway. The vehicle came back stolen out of Adams County. The owner was contacted and asked to have the vehicle towed to Moses Lake.

Traffic Accident - 2400 block West Hatton Road Othello

Investigation is ongoing into a hit and run that damaged a mailbox and left parts of the vehicle behind.

Traffic Accident - 2400 block West Hatton Road Othello

Complainant advised of a hit and run at the location from 13 days ago. The scene was documented.

Traffic Accident - West Herman Road and South Lind-Hatton Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a non-injury roll over collision at the location. Deputies issued a traffic infraction to the driver for the collision.

Juvenile Problem - 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello

Complainant contacted dispatch to report a juvenile as a runaway. Deputies determined the complainant did not want to report the juvenile as a runaway, but desired additional assistance with the ‘at risk’ youth. A request has been forwarded for assistance to juvenile services.

Suspicious - 100 block South Norton Lane Othello

Complainant advised a subject was seen walking on their property. Deputies arrived and contacted the subject. The complainant did not want to be victim of criminal charges. The subject was advised to leave the property.

October 1

Traffic Accident - West Herman Road and South Lind-Hatton Road Othello

Report of a one vehicle collision near the location. The vehicle was unoccupied. Deputies arrived and the vehicle had been removed. There was no property damage.

Traffic Accident - South Booker Road and West Cunningham Road Othello

While en-route to another call, deputies drove up on a collision at the location between a large service truck and a semi-truck pulling a full-size trailer with a pup attached.

Alarm - 700 block South Ridgeview Loop Othello

False alarm.

Domestic - 600 block S Kristina Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a domestic call at the location. Deputies observed damage to a wall and separated the subjects. One subject was released. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

Animal Problem - 1500 block North Dewald Road Ritzville

Complainant advised an 83-year-old male had heavy bleeding from being bit by a dog at the location. Investigation is ongoing.

October 2

Theft - 400 block East Yeisley Road Lind

Complainant advised of a theft of a seed treater. Investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Accident - West June Street and South Wagon Road Othello

Deputies conducted a collision investigation into a two-vehicle collission in the intersection.

Vehicle Theft - 2000 block North Durry Road Ritzville

Report of a vehicle stolen from the location. The complainant was from out of the area. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Department was contacted and arrangements were made for the complainant to report his vehicle as stolen.

Traffic Hazard - East Highway 26 Washtucna

Report of a single goat in the roadway near the location.

Traffic Hazard - South Thacker Road and West Rainer Road Othello

Report of a vehicle blocking a driveway at the location. Deputies observed the vehicle partially on the roadway and made multiple attempts to contact the registered owner with negative results. The vehicle was towed from the location..

Abandonded vehicle near the location noted for future removal.

Suspicious - West April Street and South Andes Road Othello

Report of a subject at the location with a whip. Deputies were unable to locate the subject.

Agency Assist - 2000 block East Schoessler Road Ritzville

Report of large fire/smoke coming from the location. Deputies found a large pile of pallets burning in a ‘pit’. A subject was advised of current burning restrictions within the county limits. Units from local fire district extinguished the burning pile of pallets.
