RITZVILLE – The Ritzville Police Department recently purchased a Portable Breath Test and Kustoms signal speed measuring device with funds from a grant by the Washington Traffic Safety Committee. Officer Tom Gracie, who has been with the Ritzville Police Department the past nine and a half years, said they had made a few stops with the radar already, but hadn't used the portable breath test as of last week. Gracie said the Kustoms signal speed measuring device was very helpful, as "you can tell if someone is speeding, but you don't know how fast until you confirm it with the radar."
