Suspicious - 700 block South Thacker Road Othello

A vehicle with subjects inside were contacted at the location. The subjects were advised to leave the area.

Suspicious - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Deputies heard yelling near the location. A subject advised of a family gathering. No criminal activity observed.

Malicious Mischief - West Mitchell Lane and South Nimey Lane Othello

Complainant advised of gang related graffiti at the location. Investigation is ongoing.

Malicious Mischief - 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello

Deputies observed a shop wall was tagged with graffiti. Investigation is ongoing.

Malicious Mischief - West Panama Road and South Canal Road Othello

Report of gang related graffiti at the location. Investigation is ongoing.

Malicious Mischief - 2200 block West Highway 26 Othello

Deputies observed a shop wall was tagged with white graffiti. Investigation is ongoing.

Malicious Mischief - 600 block South Thacker Road Othello

Deputies observed graffiti on a vehicle trailer. Investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious - 2100 block West April Street Othello

Complainant advised of a suspicious incident in which an unknown subject moved bicycles around his yard while complainant was away.

Juvenile Problem - 600 block South Diana Lane Othello

Report of several juveniles near the location after curfew. Complainant requested extra patrol in the area.

Nuisance/Noise - 2100 block West April Street Othello

Report of loud music at the location. Deputies advised subject of county ordinance for noise.

Fireworks - South McCann Lane Othello

Report of fireworks near the location. Deputies contacted subjects who advised they did not see or hear fireworks in the area.

Suspicious - 2100 block West April Street Othello

Report of an unknown vehicle near the location. Deputies determined it was unoccupied and legally parked off the roadway.

Nuisance/Noise - 2100 block West April Street Othello

Report of loud music near the location. Deputies unable to locate the source of sound.

Nuisance/Noise - 1000 block South Hi-Lo Drive Othello

Report of loud music near the location. Deputies contacted the responsible and they agreed to lower the volume.

August 9

Juvenile Problem - West I-90 near milepost 196 Ritzville

Complainant advised after a child custody exchange, his 10-year-old daughter refused to get in the car and was being unreasonable; and said this is an ongoing issue. Complainant was advised as the parent, he had the authority to handle the situation if his daughter was misbehaving. Complainant was told to call 911 if the situation turned into an emergency.

Agency Assist - South Highway 17 and West Lee Road Othello

Washington State Patrol requested assistance with a traffic hazard at the location. Deputies arrived and waited for a WSP unit to arrive.

Abandoned Vehicle - 600 block South Hays Road Othello

Complainant reported a vehicle had been left on his property by the previous owner. Deputies contacted the complainant and registered owner of the vehicle. Both subjects advised they would make arrangements to remove the vehicle.

Theft - 2100 block West Margaret Lane Othello

Report of a theft of a cell phone. Investigation is ongoing.

Welfare Check - 2000 block East Schoessler Road Ritzville

Request for a welfare check on a juvenile female at the location. Deputies contacted the subject and vehicle who were broke down. The juvenile female appeared fine and was talkative. The female advised of a subject named “Doug” driving a red F-150 possibly stole a phone charger after “creeping out” the subject and juvenile. Shortly after arrival, a ride appeared to help with the vehicle. Subject will call back if “Doug” returns.

Agency Assist - West I-90 near milepost 220 Ritzville

WSP requested assistance with an intoxicated passenger from the location. Deputies responded and later transported the passenger to the sheriff’s office to wait for her husband to be processed for DUI.

Traffic Offense - South 12th Avenue and East Elm Street Othello

While on patrol, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle at the location. The driver was found to be a 12-year-old juvenile operating the vehicle. The juvenile was released to their parents. A report is being forwarded to the pa office and juvenile services.

August 10

Suspicious - 800 block South Taylor Road Othello

Complainant contacted dispatch to report an unknown subject rang her doorbell and caused a sensor light to turn on. Deputies unable to locate anyone.

Citizen Assist - 700 block North “I” Street Lind

Complainant requested the sheriff’s office notify her sister of her father passing. Deputies contacted the sister and notification was made.

Traffic Hazard - West Leisle Road and North Deal Road Ritzville

Report of a traffic hazard at the location. Deputies stood by in the area for approximately 45 minutes. Deputies did not observe any vehicles violating traffic laws. Public works was contacted and advised of the issue at the intersection. Public works advised they will revise the intersection.

Citizen Assist - 600 block South Danielle Road Othello

Report of an abandoned vehicle at the location. Deputies determined it was a civil issue and provided resources to the complainant.

Suspicious - 100 block North “I” Street Lind

Report of an assault call at the location. Deputies contacted the complainant who advised of a verbal argument and possibly pushing. Deputies searched the area and multiple locations for the subjects but were not able to locate them.

Alarm - 1800 block North Seivers Road Ritzville

False alarm. Dispatch advised of constant alarm calls at the location.

Suspicious 911 - 2200 block West Barbara Road Othello

Complainant advised of a juvenile male on his property at the location. Deputies searched the area and were unable to locate the juvenile. The homeowner would like the juvenile trespassed from the property. The juvenile uses the exterior outlets to charge his phone without permission while complainant is at work.

Juvenile Problem - South Reynolds Road Othello

Dispatch advised of small juveniles walking near the location. Deputies did not observe any pedestrian traffic.

Assault - 100 block North “I” Street Lind

Report of an assault in progress at the location. Deputies arrived and contacted the complainant. Complainant advised she did not want to be a victim of this matter.

Violation of a Court Order - 800 block South Lucy Road Othello

Complainant advised of her ex calling her on the phone. There is an active order between the complainant and her ex. Investigation is ongoing.

August 11

Suspicious - 2200 block West Mockingbird Lane Othello

Complainant advised she thought she could hear someone inside her residence. The complainant left the residence. Deputies arrived and cleared the residence, no one was located inside the residence.

Hazardous Condition - 2000 block East Gering Road Ritzville

Report of an illegal burn near CRP ground near the location. Complainant was contacted who advised he had already extinguished the fire.

Theft - West Herman Road and South Lind-Hatton Road Othello

Complainant reported a theft of tool boxes from the location. Investigation is ongoing.

Juvenile Problem - 2000 block East Highway 26 Washtunca

Complainant advised her disabled grandson just left the residence with a lighter after trying to set her house on fire. Deputies contacted the subject. Investigation is ongoing.

Animal Problem - North Rocky Ford Road Ritzville

Report of a cow in the roadway near the location. Deputies didn’t locate any cows on the roadway.

Littering - South Durry Road Washtucna

Complainant advised of various items being littered at the location. Items of value were recovered and taken as safekeeping.

Suspicious - 500 block West I-90 Ritzville

Complainant advised of a suspicious subject walking near the location. Deputies checked the area and didn’t locate the subject.

Suspicious 911 - 2000 block West Bench Road Othello

Dispatch advised of two 911 hang ups from the location. Upon investigation, one of the long-term residents of the care facility had gotten the phone and called in. There was no emergency.

Medical - 700 block South Anson Road Othello

While on patrol, EMS was overheard being called to the location. Upon arrival, deputies observed the subject was not having a medical emergency. The subject refused medical treatment from EMS and deputies cleared.

Welfare Check - 400 block North Highway 261 Ritzville

Complainant requested the suicidal hotline from dispatch. Complainant advised of being in pain and needed to talk to someone at the location. Deputies contacted the complainant who advised he did not feel like killing himself.

Traffic Accident - South Lind-Hatton Road Hatton

Report of a one vehicle collision at the location. The driver had left the scene of the collision. The driver returned with her husband to remove the vehicle and drive it home.

Animal Problem - 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Complainant advised of a bull in his yard at the location. Deputies arrived and the bull wasn’t there, and were unable to locate it.

Welfare Check - 400 block North Highway 261 Ritzville

Complainant advised of suicidal subject at the location. The subject was contacted and taken in for involuntary treatment act to be assessed by a mental health professional.

August 12

Assault - 600 block South Taylor Road Othello

Complainant advised of a domestic violence assault at the location. After investigation, there was not sufficient evidence of an assault for a mandatory booking. Case will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for a charging decision.

Traffic Hazard - South Damon Road and West Cunningham Road Lind

Report of a traffic hazard call at the location, where a vehicle was blocking the road. The vehicle was removed from the road.

Trespassing - 2200 block Wst Barbara Road Othello

Report of cold trespassing at the location. Investigation is ongoing.

Animal Problem - 2200 block West Rainier Road Othello

Report of an animal problem involving cattle in the roadway near the location. Deputies contacted the owner of the cattle and the cattle were retrieved.

Suspicious - South Thacker Road and West Rainier Road Othello

Dispatch advised of a suspicious vehicle at the location. The vehicle was determined to be a part of a previous call in the area.

Juvenile Problem - West Cunningham Road Othello

Complainant advised of a runaway juvenile who left his residence within Othello city limits. Complainant was advised to contact the Othello Police Department to report the juvenile as a runaway. The juvenile was later located and returned to a parent.

Lost/Found Property - East Highway 21 and East Lind-Ralston Road Ritzville

Complainant advised a public works employee located a pile of papers on the side of the road. The papers were turned into the sheriff’s office and placed into safekeeping until the owner can be contacted.

Juvenile Problem - 2200 block West Shelly Road Othello

Report of juveniles near the location who were “casing” the neighbor’s residence. Deputies were unable to locate any juveniles matching the description provided.

Fire - 700 block South Thacker Road Othello

Adams County Fire requested assistance at the location where a subject was upset the fire department was there putting out a small brush fire.

August 13

Theft - 2100 block West April Street Othello

Complainant advised of bicycle frames stolen from his yard. Investigation is ongoing.

Parking Problem - South Taylor Road and West Cunningham Road Othello

Complainant advised of semis parking on the north side of Cunningham Road where public works just put in a new water line and drivers were warned they could no longer park there. Deputies had them park in a different location.

Suspicious - West Providence Road and North Presnel Road Lind

Dispatch advised of a malicious mischief call at the location where a lock down pin to a tractor was placed in the locking position causing damage to the tractor while driven. The tractor and pull equipment needed to be lined up perfectly in order to be placed in the lock position. It was determined the incident was suspicious and possibly an accident by employees.

Burglary - 2200 block West Barbara Road Othello

Report of a burglary in progress at the location. Deputies contacted two juvenile subjects. The subjects were arrested and later released to their parents. A report will be forwarded to Adams County Juvenile for potential charging.

Recovered Vehicle - West June Street and South Andes Road Othello

Othello Police Department advised of a stolen vehicle at the location. Shelbie Coffman was arrested and booked into jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Forgery, and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer.

Citizen Assist - 2700 block West Harrison Road

Complainant requested assistance in completing a VIN inspection certification on a vehicle at the location. Deputies advised she needed to contact WSP to perform the inspection.

Harassment - 100 block West 5th Street Lind

Complainant advised of a dispute with a subject. The complainant advised he returned a car jack he had borrowed. The subject claimed the jack he returned was not the same jack. Both parties were advised to not harass the other about this issue. The subject advised she would buy a new jack since it wasn’t worth fighting over.

Animal Problem - East Urquhart Road and East Harder Road Ritzville

Report of loose cattle near the railroad tracks at the location. Deputies were not able to contact a responsible for the cattle.

Agency Assist - West I-90 near milepost 229 Ritzville

Report of a single vehicle unknown injury rollover collision at the location. Upon arrival, WSP was on scene and with the driver of the vehicle.

Suspicious - West Bench Road and South Garza Lane Othello

Report of two males walking towards parked trucks at the location. Complainant was concerned they may be messing with the trucks in that area. Deputies didn’t locate the subjects.

August 14

Traffic Accident - 1500 block North Moody Road Ritzville

Complainant advised of a suspicious subject that was moaning and vomiting in his back yard. Later it was found the subject had been involved in a roll over collision and had walked to the house for help. The subject was transported by ambulance to Ritzville.

Traffic Accident - North “N” Street Lind

Report of a hit and run collision at the location. Deputies responded to the scene. The driver returned to the scene in attempts to cover evidence. The driver was cited and released.

Theft - 1100 block North Hoefel Lane Ritzville

Complainant reported his ATV was stolen at the location. Investigation is ongoing.

Parking Problem - 800 block South Meadowlark Lane Othello

A parking problem was observed at the location where a vehicle was blocking the roadway. The responsible was contacted and moved the vehicle.

Suspicious - 600 block East Booth Avenue Washtucna

Complainant advised while he was out, someone was on his property and went through his vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.
