Highway 290 at Park Street cleared following injury collision

SPOKANE VALLEY — Westbound Highway 290 and Park Street is now open following an injury collision around 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning, Aug. 6.

A Spokane deputy was in pursuit of a vehicle on westbound 290 when the suspect vehicle was spiked by the county, according to Washington State Patrol officials. The suspect vehicle lost control, and struck a Spokane Transit Authority bus, records show.

There were no injuries to anyone on the bus, according to officials.

Agencies responding to the scene included the Spokane Sheriff's office and the Department of Transportation Incident Response Team.
