June 8

Agency assist, west state Highway 26 near Milepost 45, Othello

Deputies assisted with a report from Washington State Patrol of a woman walking eastbound on the highway.

Theft in the 600 block of West Rosenoff Road, Ritzville

Complainant reported diesel fuel stolen from his vehicle. Investigation is ongoing.

Traffic Hazard on North Seivers Road near East Lind-Ralston Road, Ritzville

Report of cattle on the roadway.

Animal Problem on West North Street, Washtucna. Injured deer was dispatched without incident.

Civil dispute in 2300 block of west state Highway 26, Othello

Report of a dispute over property was resolved between the subjects.

Burglary in the 1000 block of West Schrag Road, Ritzville. Investigation is ongoing into a report of a cold burglary at the location. Nothing was missing.

Citizen resident near Warden. Warden Police requested assistance in transporting a subject wanting a ride to Ritzville.

Standby request in the 1400 block of East Phillips Road, Washtucna. Deputies performed a standby while a subject was terminated from employment.

Traffic hazard in the 2100 block of West April Street, Othello

Ongoing reports of motorcycles driving fast on the roadway.

Animal Problem on West Cunningham Road near Sout Lind-Hatton Road, Othello. Report of a cow on the roadway.

Traffic Hazard on West Bench Road, Othello. Report of a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road. Deputies discovered the driver having medical issues. Responders transported the driver to the hospital.

Suspicious incident in the 2000 block of North Durry Road, Ritzville. Report of a possible hidden camera in a restroom turned out to be a humidity sensor.

Runaway Juvenile in the 2000 block of West Bench Road, Othello. The juvenile, who had left the day before, was entered into the system as a runaway.

Agency assist on South Reynolds Road, Othello. Deputies assisted the state patrol with a hit-and-run collision. A vehicle involved later returned to the scene.

Traffic Hazard on East Gun Club Road, Ritzville. Report of juveniles near the area throwing rocks at vehicles off of a bridge.

June 9

Domestic dispute in the 2000 block North Durry Road, Ritzville. Report of a verbal domestic at the location. Complainant advised her brother was becoming agitated and she did not feel safe. She said her brother may be coming down after drug usage. It was agreed if the brother sat in the back seat of the car they could continue on their way.

Runaway juvenile in the 700 block of South Hillcrest Road, Othello. Report of a runaway juvenile. Deputies determined the juvenile had left the residence without permission, and the juvenile was entered into the system as a reported runaway.

Welfare check at 700 black South Heeb Lane, Othello. An agent from Child Protective Services submitted a referral for subjects at the location. Deputies responded and no abnormal conditions were found.

Suspicious person in 500 block of North E Street, Lind. Report of a subject who appeared to be passed out in her car. The subject advised she was tired and on multiple medications for health issues, but needed no medical assistance.

Warrant served on West Main Street, Othello. Amanda Calmo was arrested and booked into jail on a warrant.

Suspicious incident on East Gun Club Road, Ritzville. Deputies attempted contact with the complainant to obtain further information with negative results.

Theft in the 1300 block of North Deal Road, Ritzville. Report of items stolen from the bed of a vehicle sometime overnight. Complainant reported seeing increased vehicle activity. Investigation is ongoing.

Traffic crash in the 2100 block of West Cunningham Road, Othello. Deputies responded to a report of a traffic crash and found a vehicle in the irrigation canal. The vehicle was later removed without incident.

Traffic offense at the intersection of North Fourth Avenue and East Main Street, Othello. A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle at the location for expired registration. The vehicle was found to have a tampered trip permit, and driver had no insurance. A citation will be mailed to driver.

June 10

Traffic offense on west state Highway 24, Othello. Dispatch advised Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was in pursuit of a motorcycle. Adams County deputies took over primary pursuit, which continued through Adams County and into Grant County before returning to Adams County. The pursuit ended in a traffic collision and deployment of the K9. The suspect was later booked into jail.

Suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of South Rayburn Road, Othello. Vehicle parked near the location turned out to be someone contracted by the property owner to complete a flooring estimate.

Traffic crash in 2000 block of West Bench Road, Othello. Report of damage caused to an unidentified tractor-trailer at the fueling station. Deputies determined an unidentified vehicle ran over a fueling hose, causing minor damage.

Suspicious vehicle in 600 block of South Thacker Road, Othello. Complainant reported finding their vehicle unlocked and believed it may have been broken into. Deputies responded and determined the vehicle had been left unsecure by the complainant’s family; no items were missing.

Domestic dispute in 600 block of South Kristina Road, Othello. Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute and determined the complainant had provided information which did not accurately portray the incident. A juvenile was detained for obstructing the investigation, and the incident has been forward to Adams County juvenile justice system for review.

Vehicle prowl in the 600 block of South Eagle Road, Othello. Complainant reported his passenger side window appeared to be pried open. Deputies contacted the subject, who advised he was going to fix the window and wanted the incident documented. No items were taken.

Traffic offense at West May Street and South Andes Road, Othello. Jose Zepeda was arrested and booked into jail for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

Runaway juvenile in the 600 block of Sout Diana Lane, Othello. The juvenile was found to have been booked into Martin Hall Detention Center the day prior.

Warrant served in 2000 block of west state Highway 26, Othello. Grant County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert Patterson was booked him into the Adams County Jail on a warrant after being arrested by Grant County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Traffic crash at West June Street and South Andes Road, Othello. Deputies responded to a motorcycle crash. One subject was flown to Harborview Medical in critical condition. Investigation is ongoing.

Suspicious incident in 700 block of South Sunset Acres Road, Othello. Complainant advised his dogs were barking over the past few days. Complainant thought there might be people walking around at night.

June 11

Suspicious 911 call from West McManamon Road, Othello. Complainant requested assistance after being dropped off. Deputies determined the subject had a local warrant for her arrest. She was taken into custody. Arrangements were made by local court for undetermined future court date.

Traffic crash at Lyle Lake, Othello. Report of a gray-colored Mazda Pickup fleeing the scene after hitting a dog.

Alarm in the 2000 block of West Bench Road, Othello. False alarm.

Abandoned vehicle in 600 block of South Danielle Road, Othello.

Traffic crash in 300 block of East Second Street, Lind. A truck struck and knocked down a power pole. The town of Lind advised the power line was not in use.

Traffic hazard on west state Highway 26 near Milepost 49, Othello. Deputies removed debris at the location that came off a truck.

Standby in the 700 block of West Schoessler Road, Ritzville. Request for assistance with obtaining a bid for a house was determined to be a civil matter. Complainant was advised to obtain a court order allowing her on the property.

Dispute in the 2200 block of West Rainier Road, Othello. Complainant contacted dispatch to report someone had taken her car keys. Complainant located her keys and no longer needed law enforcement assistance.

Threats made in 700 bloc of South Heeb Lane, Othello. Complainant advised they were receiving messages from their ex-spouse regarding children in common. The messages were not threatening in nature. The complainant was advised to block or change phone numbers.

Agency assist in 12000 block of Coyan Road, Connell. Deputies assisted the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office with taking a subject into custody.

Suspicious person in the North Hills Road and East Heinemann Road area of Ritzville. A state trooper arrived prior to deputies and determined the subject was riding a bike and waiting on a ride due to the storm.

Assist resident in the 1000 block of South Hi-Lo Drive, Othello. Complainant advised his neighbor may have injured his dog. Investigation determined the dog had been hit by a vehicle earlier in the day.

June 12

Suspicious incident in 700 block of South Sunset Acres Road, Othello. Complainant reported hearing subjects outside of his residence. Deputies determined he was suffering a mental health episode. The complainant advised he would seek mental health care .

Animal problem in the 2300 block of West Bench Road, Othello. Complainant reported a dog coming on her property and attacking her pet before returning to the neighboring property. Deputies contacted the responsible party and advised of their duty to keep the dog under control.

Traffic crash on West McManamon Road, Othello. Dispatch advised of a cold traffic crash near the location. The driver was transported to the hospital by a subject. Deputies contacted the driver who advised he was trying to avoid an animal. The driver was ticketed.

Residential assist in the 500 block of North Main Street, Washtucna. Complainant advised a subject was impaired based upon his behavior during a child custody exchange. The subject left the area eastbound on Highway 26.

Traffic hazard on West McManamon Road, Othello. Dispatch advised of a possible drunken driver in a dark colored Nissan pickup eastbound from the area.

Agency assist in the 1100 block of East Juniper Street, Othello. Othello Police Department requested K9 with taking a subject into custody. The subject was an alleged violent offender and had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. The subject was arrested and booked into jail.

Traffic hazard on West Hatton Road, Othello. Report of a small bus blocking the roadway. Deputies located subjects with the unlicensed vehicle that had run out of gas. Deputies called for help for subjects and warned them to get a licensed driver to remove the vehicle.
