RITZVILLE - Brian Bothun drove through Saturday's storm traveling home from Spokane. Heading out about 6 p.m., he saw lightning and dark clouds ahead as he drove west, but did not encounter rain until he got off the freeway at the Tokio Danekas Road exit.
"When I got through the storm and into town, the water at First and Division was about a foot high," Bothun said. "It was the most intense storm I've seen since moving here in September of 2017."
