Ritzville Volunteer Ambulance Association EMTs and helpers grin as the last of the plants are sold Friday. From left, front row, are Chablis Green, EMT; Neva Malby, association president; Morgan Lane, EMT; and MacKenzie Lane, volunteer. Back row, from left are Allen Griffen, EMT; and Jeffrey Staley, volunteer.

RITZVILLE - Anyone planning to purchase plants from the Ritzville Volunteer Ambulance Association's annual fundraiser Saturday was out of luck as of 4 p.m. today, Friday.

The EMTs sold out by noon the first day of the sale, Thursday.

Neva Malby, Ambulance Association President and her son, Jeffrey Staley, were on the road by 5 a.m. the next morning to pick up more plants at Garden Springs Nursery in Deer Park.

"We were back by 12:30 p.m.," Malby said. "The community has been very supportive this year."

See the Ritzville Adams County Journal Wednesday, May 13, for the rest of the story.
