Adams County reporting 20 coronavirus cases

16 cases traced to Othello family; three traced to family in Lind-Ritzville area

RITZVILLE — Health officials here are reporting a total of 20 coronavirus countywide, an increase of 15 in less than a week.

An April 1 report shows 16 cases in the Othello area, and two each in Lind and Ritzville.

Community Health Director Karen Potts, RN said Wednesday that seven of the Othello cases can be traced to a single family.

Three of the remaining four cases are connected to a family with members in both Lind and Ritzville, she said.

The county has tested 121 potential cases, with 80 already returned as negative. The results from the remaining 21 cases are awaited, officials said.
