Adams County Sheriff's Office Reports: Nov. 7

Oct. 20 — Sheriff deputies assisted the Ritzville Police Department with a reported stabbing at the 100 block of E. 3rd Avenue in Ritzville.

Oct. 20 — A complainant advised he was in a dispute involving residency and property issues at the 200 block of W. 2nd Street in Lind. Deputies responded and provided a standby for peace while the complainant removed some of his property.

Oct. 20 — A complainant on N. St. Clair Avenue in Lind reported she wasn’t allowed to see her adult daughter while she was at a residence in Lind. A subject at the residence told the complainant she wasn’t allowed on his property. Deputies contacted the daughter and determined she was in crisis. The daughter was transported to East Adams Rural Healthcare for a mental health evaluation.

Oct. 20 — A complainant advised of two juveniles riding motorbikes near W. 6th Street in Lind. Deputies were unable to locate the juveniles.

Oct. 21 — Deputies responded to a 911 hang up call at the 1900 block of E. Sutton Road in Washtucna. Contact was made with a subject who was asleep and did not know how 911 had been called. It was determined no emergency existed.

Oct. 22 — A complainant advised of a child being bit in the face by a dog at the 300 block of W. May Avenue. The child was transported to the hospital by parents/EMS. The child was later assessed and advised to be treated at another hospital outside of Adams County.

Oct. 22 — A complainant reported a theft of a firearm at the 200 block of W. 2nd Street in Lind. An investigation is ongoing.

Oct. 23 — A complainant called and advised her landlord was evicting her at the 1400 block of N. Van Vleet Road in Ritzville. The complainant advised she was given a document from the landlord. The complainant was advised that the landlord needed to go through the courts to evict her and that it was a civil matter.

Oct. 23 — A complainant at the 700 block of S. State Route 26 in Washtucna called requesting information about banking financial issues while going through a divorce. Deputies attempted to call back but no one would answer.

Oct. 24 — An inmate assaulted another inmate while incarcerated in the Adams County Jail. The inmate that was assaulted was injured and received several stitches to his face. Charges will be forwarded to the Adams County Prosecutor’s Office for review for assault in the second degree.

Oct. 26 — A complainant advised of one or more subjects with a flashlight on N. Anderson Road in Ritzville. The complainant did not believe anyone should be there. Deputies checked the area and did not locate any vehicles or people at the location.

Oct. 26 — A complainant advised of a red-colored SUV with a subject inside possibly sleeping at N. State Route 21 and E. Rosenoff Road in Ritzville. The complainant also reported the SUV having its fog lights on. Deputies checked on the vehicle at the location. It was parked safely off the roadway. The subject was contacted, who advised they were taking pictures of the Northern Lights and would be leaving shortly afterward.
