Ballots mailed out for Aug. 6 primary election

Registered voters in Ritzville, Lind and Washtucna should have received their ballots in the mail for the upcoming primary election on Aug. 6.

Voters who require a replacement ballot or need additional voting assistance are asked to contact the Adams County Auditor’s Office at 659-3249. Ballots need to be turned into a drop box or postmarked by 8 p.m. on Aug. 6.

Ballot drop box locations are available at 116 1/2 W 2nd St. in Lind, 216 E Main St. in Ritzville, and 165 S Main St. in Washtucna.

There are four Adams County Maintenance and Operation Levies on this year’s primary election ballot:

-Submitted by Adams County Park and Recreation District No. 2—Washtucna: $25,000, an estimated $0.49 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for maintenance and operation of the Lind Swimming Pool for the year 2020.

-Submitted by Adams County Park and Recreation District No. 3—Lind: $70,000, an estimated $0.24 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for maintenance and operation of the Lind Swimming Pool for the year 2020.

-Submitted by Adams County Park and Recreation District No. 4—Ritzville: $150,000, an estimated $0.40 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for maintenance and operation of the Ritzville Water Park for the year 2020.

-Submitted by Adams County Cemetery District No. 1—Washtucna: $10,500, an estimated $0.21 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for maintenance and operation of the Adams County Cemetery for the year 2020.
