Spokane AgriBusiness Council seeks "Excellence in Agriculture" award noms

The AgriBusiness Council of Greater Spokane Incorporated in partnership with Spokane Ag Expo and Pacific Northwest Farm Forum will recognize an individual with the Excellence in Agriculture. The award is presented at the Spokane Ag Expo and Pacific Northwest Farm Forum event during Agriculture Week in Spokane the first full week of February, 2019. This prestigious award recognizes one individual, business or organization that has demonstrated a significant contribution to agriculture in the Inland Northwest.

Nominations for the award are now being accepted. Persons may nominate as many individuals, groups or organizations as they like. The nomination form can be found on http://www.agshow.org. All nominations must be received no later than December 1.

When considering an individual, business or organization for the Excellence in Agriculture, the selection committee will consider four criteria: Innovation in Agriculture, Economic and Environmental Stewardship Contribution to Agriculture, Positive Impact on Agriculture and Industry Awareness and Outreach. Nominations will be narrowed to selected finalists and announced in late January prior to Spokane Ag Expo, February 5-7, 2019. The winners will be announced and presented their award at the opening session of Pacific Northwest Farm Forum on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Spokane Convention Center.
