Colton Hodgson

Colton Hodgson is the new science teacher at LRHS. Growing up in Deer Park, Hodgson is the oldest of three kids.

After he graduated from Deer Park High School, Hodgson attended Eastern Washington University where he earned a bachelor’s degree.

Hodgson decided to become a teacher when he became interested in science. As a teacher, he wants to share his interest in the subject with others.

Prior to teaching at LRHS, Hodgson worked for Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge in Cheney as an Environmental Educator. Part of his work focused on leading field trips and facilitating outreach programs to educate kids about the environment.

In his first year at LRHS, Hodgson hopes to build relationships with his students, and help them develop a better understanding and interest in science.

When he is not teaching, he enjoys reading, watching television, cooking, camping swimming and other activities.
