Caitlin Schoessler is teaching second grade at RGS. Schoessler was born and raised in the Ritzville area. She grew up on a farm and enjoyed operating a truck and tractor.

After she graduated from LRHS, she attended Washington State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Prior to returning to Ritzville, Schoessler completed her student teaching at Riverside Elementary.

Schoessler explained her dream was to return to Ritzville to teach, and when a grade school teacher position was open, she applied for it.

Schoessler said she became a teacher because she enjoys working with children and their excitement for learning. She also likes seeing the growth and progress they make throughout the school year.

She was also influenced from her time in elementary school and now teaches in the classroom where she attended first grade.

In her first year as a teacher, Schoessler hopes to help students become the best in everything they do. She also wants the classroom to be a good environment where kids can work together and learn from their mistakes.

When she is not teaching, Schoessler likes to spend time outdoors and run. She and her family also like to attend WSU Cougar football games.
