Seven teachers join Lind-Ritzville Cooperative schools: Aaron Bush

Seven new full-time teachers joined the ranks of Lind-Ritzville Cooperative Schools this year.

Caitlin Schoessler and Chelsie Kneale are teaching at Ritzville Grade School while Jody Terris and Laurinda Ritz are instructors at Lind Elementary School. Aaron Bush, Colton Hodgson and Nicole Reyling joined the Lind-Ritzville High School staff.

Aaron Bush

Aaron Bush teaches English at LRHS. Over the years, he has spent time in Spokane and Harlem, New York, and currently lives in Spokane Valley.

Bush attended EWU where he received bachelor’s degrees in literary studies and English education.

His reason for pursuing teaching began after he dropped out of high school. When Bush left high school, he had a .32 grade point average.

Bush said he knows how difficult life can be as a high school dropout. He wanted to become a teacher in order to encourage kids to stay in school. He also enjoys English as a subject.

During his first year as a teacher, Bush hopes to build relationships with the kids in his class. He would like to work in the Lind-Ritzville School districts for at least five years and become a part of the community.

On the weekends, Bush enjoys playing tabletop roleplaying games with friends, golf and disc golf, and tennis with his wife.
