Shepherd’s Grain contest at WLCF

This year’s Wheat Land Communities’ Fair is just around the corner and there is a new contest available in the Baking department.

Linda Erdman, Baking Superintendent, is excited to announce the new contest, which is sponsored by Shepherd’s Grain.

To be eligible for this award, the exhibitor must use Shepherd’s Grain Flour in their baking entry.

As proof of use, the empty bag of Shepherd’s Grain Flour must be attached to the finished product.

The top three entries will receive prizes, with $50 being awarded for first place.

The two runner-ups will receive one five-pound bag of Shepherd’s Grain AP Flour and one five-pound bag of Shepherd’s Grain Whole Wheat Flour.

Exhibit entries will be received on Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 4-8 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

There are limited amounts of Shepherd’s Grain AP Flour locally at Ritzville’s Harvest Foods store.

A list of other locations carrying the product can be found at http://shepherdsgrain.com.

For more information on the contest, reference the 2018 Exhibitors’ Guide or contact Erdman at 659-1353.
