Ritzville City Council approves grant assistance agreement

During the July 3 meeting, the Ritzville City Council voted 4-0 to authorize Mayor Gary Cook to sign an agreement with the Washington State Department of Commerce (Commerce) for grant assistance regarding the City’s Comprehensive Plan update.

Under the agreement, Commerce will provide the City with a $2,500 grant to cover the cost for reviewing and updating the Comprehensive Plan, with regulations to protect critical areas and meet mandated requirements of the Growth Management Act.
