Congressman Dan Newhouse files for reelection

On May 14, Congressman Dan Newhouse, R – Sunnyside, officially filed for reelection at the Newhouse Campaign Headquarters.

Newhouse is a third generation Yakima Valley farmer and conservative businessman.

He has represented Washington’s Fourth Congressional District since 2015 and is seeking his third two-year term.

“It’s official, I just filed for my third term in Congress.” Newhouse said. “Over the past year and a half, with a unified Republican government, we have made tremendous progress for conservatism in the House of Representatives.

“We still have much more work ahead of us, and I would be honored to continue working for Central Washington for another two years.”

Newhouse previously served eight years in the Washington State House of Representatives and four years as the Director of the Washington State Department of Agriculture.

In Congress, Newhouse has been a conservative problem solver and an advocate for Hanford cleanup, enhancing water storage solutions, lowering taxes and eliminating burdensome regulations.
