Tree Board seeks volunteers for First Avenue beautification project

The City of Ritzville Tree Board is seeking volunteers to help with the First Avenue Beautification project.

Saturday, May 5, will be the first of three weekends in May where the city will begin with landscaping and planting of flours, shrubs, grass and trees.

The first phase of the project will start at the corner of Weber Avenue and First Avenue, near the Ritzville Parts House/NAPA store.

New soil and compost will be applied to the area around the sign on the property. Black plastic mulch will be staked on top of it to prepare for planting.
