WSP, Lind Fire Department respond to fatality collision

Washington State Patrol and Adams County Fire Protection District No. 2 responded to a one-vehicle fatality collision on April 16, on Interstate 90, 20 miles west of Ritzville.

According to a WSP report, Jose A. Piniero, 56, was driving a 1997 Honda Accord on I-90 when it left the roadway and entered the median. The vehicle continued eastbound and stopped on Batum Road under the freeway.

Both Piniero and Barbara R. Piniero, 47, the other occupant in the vehicle, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The vehicle was impounded to AA Auto Southwest.
