Lyle’s celebrating 65 years of marriage

Rex and Juanita Lyle are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on April 14. They were married at the Connell United Methodist Church on April 11, 1953.

They are the parents of five children: Chris (Becky) Lyle, Nadine (Dan) King, Kevin (Debbie) Lyle, Stephanie Lyle and Tom Lyle.

They have 10 grandchildren: John (Brynne) Lyle, Jani (Cody) Montizaan, Anna (Steve) Woods, Rex Lyle, Riley Lyle, Alex Lyle, Dwight (Hollie) Lyle, Aaron (Kate) King, Nathan King and Rachel Grace King.

The family also has nine great-grandchildren: Braylee and Landon Montizaan, Amalynn and Ellarse Lyle, Emery and Traxton Woods, and Jeremiah, Amelia and Judah King.

Rex and Juanita met in Connell as children, but got to know each other while studying at Washington State University. Rex graduated in agricultural mechanics, and Juanita graduated as a nurse.

Their children expressed thanks to their parents for their ongoing example of love and devotion.

An anniversary celebration will be held on Saturday, April 14, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Ritzville from 12-4 p.m.
