Local Arbor Day events planned

The City of Ritzville will celebrate Arbor Day on April 27 with local fifth grade students helping to plant trees throughout the city.

This year, trees will be planted at the Ritzville City Park, Ritzville Municipal Golf Course and Ritzville City Hall.

The Ritzville Tree Board is coordinating the event, as well as other local beautification projects throughout the city.

All fourth and fifth grade students in the Lind-Ritzville Cooperative School Districts will receive a Evergreen tree seedling, packaged by workers with disabilities, to take home and plant. The trees have been donated by Umpqua...
