Stanley V. Neace of Asotin died at age 92 on Jan. 30 at Guardian Angel Homes in Lewiston.

Stanley was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Endicott, to Stanley D. and Elsie (Evanson) Neace. He attended grade school in Benge and high school in Winona.

Stanley was raised and farmed on the family farm near Benge. He married Muriel K. Jordan on Oct. 11, 1943, in Winnemucca, Nevada, and continued to farm the family plot until 1978, when he and his family moved to Cloverland, Washington, where he farmed until 1991.

He retired in 1991 and moved to Asotin.

Stanley was known and loved by all for his big, mischievous smile and quiet ways. He loved his family and life on the farm, working with his machinery and cattle, and was frequently heard singing in the farm shop.

Stanley was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, the Benge Grange and was a volunteer fireman with the Benge Fire Department.

Stanley is survived by his children, Wayne (Jan) Neace, Marjorie (Larry) Miller and Aaron (Becky) Neace; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel K. Neace; son Kenneth Neace; daughter-in-law Judy Neace; and granddaughter Brandy Neace.

A family graveside service will be held at a later date. The family asks that any donations be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
