Adams County Sheriff's Office Report

July 3, 6:09 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant reported a rollover accident at East Urquhart Road and North Wahl Road. The vehicle was blocking the driveway of the property owner. The property owner received a call from the Sheriff’s Office stating the vehicle owner notified him had contacted someone from Tri-Cities coming to pick up the vehicle. The vehicle was towed and the roof was partially caved in. B&B Towing removed the vehicle.

July 4, 2:13 a.m. – A Washtucna complainant called the Sheriff’s Office about a dog running lose at Tuc-N-Roll RV Park.

July 4, 1:09 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant reported an intoxicated male parked on the northwest end of Bassett Park cussing, yelling and creating a disturbance. The complainant called back and reported that the suspect left the scene with a driver and two other people.

July 4, 3:27 p.m. –

Deputy Jeff Lane responded to a burglary call on West Third Street in Lind. He attempted to contact at the residence owner and received no answer. He advised the night deputy of the call.

July 5, 1:12 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant reported damage to the road from a farm implement on Alder Avenue. Deputy Lane contacted the suspect who will make arrangements with Adams County to pay for the damages.

July 5, 4:49 p.m. –

Sergeant Ben Buriak responded to West First Street in Lind about a possible marijuana grow. He did not find any sign of a marijuana grow operation.

July 6, 11:22 a.m. – Deputy Lane responded to broken down vehicle at East Danekas Road and East Schoessler Road. Complainant received a ride before he arrived.

July 6, 8:52 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised someone had been cutting the chain on the fence at their cow pasture and propping the gates open to let out the cows. Complainant requested additional patrols in the area.

July 7, 4:19 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant called about an ongoing issue with loud music and noise coming from North Main Street. Deputy Klewin made contact with the suspect, who said the complainant called him names and started recording him. Both were warned to stop provoking the other party.

July 7, 5:47 p.m. –

Deputy Hunter Klewin completed paperwork for a junk vehicle on North Main Street.

July 7, 6:53 p.m. - A Washtucna complainant called about an ongoing issue with loud music and noise coming from North Main Street. Deputy Klewin made contact with the suspect, who said the complainant called him names and started recording him. Both were warned to stop provoking the other party.

July 8, 8:39 p.m. – Deputy Klewin responded to North Main Street in Washtucna on a call about a dog locked up in a trailer. Klewin contact the subject in the camper, who said she did not have a dog.

July 8, 11:00 p.m. – Deputy Klewin responded to South Highway 395 milepost 88 on a call about a male standing in the middle of the off ramp waving his arms. The subject was located, arrested and booked into the county jail for having on an Adams County warrant.

July 9, 11:36 a.m. – Sergeant Buriak assisted the Ritzville Police Department on West Third Avenue following a burglary alarm. He assisted with the residence and confirmed there was no one inside.

July 10, 1:01 a.m. – Deputy Klewin responded to the Ranch Petroleum in Lind where he made contact with a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was from Ritzville and had recently been responded stolen. The registered owner was with the vehicle and said it was no longer stolen and had overheated on Paha-Packard.

July 10, 2:47 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a subject sleeping in the interchange. Deputy Lane was unable to locate the subject.

July 10, 4:32 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious white pickup truck with canopy towing a motorcycle at North Damon Road and West Schrag Road. Witnesses in the area advised the vehicle into Grant County 10-15 minutes earlier.

July 10, 6:47 p.m. – A complainant advised they were worried that a subject did not make it to their destination in Connell. Deputy Ned Bernath located the subject at their Washtucna residence. The subject advised they were fine and did not need assistance.

July 10, 8:18 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant advised of an abandoned vehicle on North Main Street.

July 11, 9: 43 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a damaged vehicle on North Paka-Packard Road, north of Interstate 90.

July 11, 10:01 a.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a semi driver purchasing alcohol then leaving eastbound on Danekas Road and hugging the center lane. Deputy Lane was on another call and unable to respond. Washington State Patrol was notified.

July 12, 5:13 a.m. – Deputy Lane made contact with a Lind complainant on East Yeisley Road. The complainant had not heard from their child and were worried. Complainant called back an hour later and stated the juvenile texted her.

July 12, 12:27 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant advised of a possible no contact order violation on North Columbia River Lane.

July 12, 2:03 p.m. – A Ritzville complainant advised of a runaway juvenile on North Rand Lane.

July 12, 5:03 p.m. –

A Lind complainant advised of some cattle got out and were scattered all over in the area of Lind-Hatton Road. Complainant advised they are still missing about 10 cattle. Complainant advised some of the cattle showed up at the pasture and broke some of it down. There was one dead at the gate.

July 12, 10:09 p.m. – A Washtucna complainant advised of her home being burglarized within the last two days. Tools, electronics and a lawn mower were taken.

July 13, 8:06 p.m. –

Complainant from Oregon was concerned their child was in an abusive relationship. Deputy Klewin called the subject at their residence on North Rand Lane in Ritzville. The subject said they had a verbal argument with their partner but there was no assault. Subject did not want personal contact.

July 14, 12:29 a.m. – A Washtucna complainant said they heard gunshots. Deputy Klewin contacted a group of juveniles who denied shooting any guns or fireworks. Complainant saw juveniles in area but did not witness them making any disturbance. Subjects were warned not to cause any further issues.

July 14, 12:38 a.m. – Sergeant Buriak responded to possible burglary on West Sixth Street in Lind. He was advised of a white pickup and a male subject outside on top of the roof. Buriak contact subjects at the residence. Subjects advised they were contractors hired by the bank to work on the house and were able to provide proof of this.
