The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos had the opportunity to host the NE 1B/2B League meet in Ritzville on April 12, and both teams finished with high scores.
The LRS boys finished second with 91 points, while the girl’s team finished fourth with 75 points.
Senior Alan Field continued to post high-placing results, with three first place finishes and two third place finishes.
Fellow senior athlete Peyton Kiel also scored multiple points for the team with a first and third place finish at the meet.
For the girls, Felicia Ziemer posted two second place finishes individually, and also helped her relay teams to a first and third place finish.
Kallie Harder placed first in the discus with a throw of 107-01.

On April 16, the Broncos traveled to Cheney High School to participate in the Big Red Invitational. The LRS girls’ team excelled at the meet, finishing in third place with 56 points. The boys’ team finished 10th with 25 points.
The Bronco girls’ team proved to be successful in the 4x100 and 4x200-meter relay races, as both teams captured a first place victory.
In the field events, Harder continued her success in discus with another first place finish, while Kiel earned first in the high jump event.
Field posted a first place finish in the 200-meter race, as well as a third place finish in long jump.
The Broncos 4x100-meter relay team also had a successful day on the track, netting a third place finish.
