House fire in Ritzville remains under investigation

For the second time in a month, the Ritzville Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed house fire in the evening on April 14. The Ritzville Fire Department received the call about the fire at 109 East Elm Street in Ritzville at 7 p.m.

Ritzville Fire Chief Bill Banner said the department had a six-minute response time for the first two trucks to arrive on scene, but upon their arrival, the home was already fully involved.

The home is deemed a total loss and at the time there is no cause of the fire determined as the reason is still under investigation, Banner explained.
