AAUW preps for annual holiday bazaar

Holiday shoppers are invited back to the 42nd Annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Ritzville Grade School.

The admission-free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school, located at 401 East Sixth Avenue.

The Ritzville branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) sponsors the event and the profits are used to fund STEM programs for young women in the local communities.

At the bazaar, attendees have a wide array of items to choose from with approximately 30 vendors, old and new, on site.

Favorites like Country Harvest Soup will be available again along with many other food items including preserves, baked treats and noodles. Holiday decorations, Bronc Boosters items, toys, gifts, jewelry and more will also be sold.

The AAUW branch will also be selling Scholastic children’s books.

Once again lunch will be served in the cafeteria by Soup It Up. Santa Claus is also going to be available for photos up on the main stage and parents are encouraged to bring a camera if they would like photos. Children of all ages are also encouraged to view the operating train system Charles Jingling will have displayed.

A variety of raffle tickets to support local organizations are available at the event and can be purchased upon arrival.

For any individual interested in being a vendor, contact Sherie Schafer at 659-1424 or by email at [email protected].

Sign up forms are also available at the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce office.
