Halloween activities slated

During Halloween this year, several organizations offer different support for trick-or-treaters during the days activities.

The Ritzville Grade School will hold its annual Fall Festival on Friday. It begins at 12:50 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. for Pre-K through Second grade students. From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Third and Fifth grade students will participate.

Toddler Trick-or-Treat, organized by the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce, begins at 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Children ages five and under may collect treats from area businesses participating. Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate.

In Lind, the Lind Community Church will open the basement of the church as a warm-up station. They will offer hot cocoa, cider and donuts for trick-or-treaters from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

In Washtucna the Washtucna Volunteer Firefighters are hosting a meal of hot dogs and refreshments, beginning at 5 p.m. After the meal, games will be hosted in the fire hall.
