June 1, 1:10 a.m.- Deputy Hunter Klewin stopped a subject for a defective license plate lamp. It was discovered the individual had warrants in Adams County. Subject was arrested and booked into prison.

June 1, 12:30 p.m.- Ritzville complainant advised that John Wayne Trail riders trespassed on their property, leaving outhouses on a trailer and not closing the gates.

June 1, 3:31 p.m.- Deputy Jeffrey Lane assisted Ritzville Police Department with an assault arrest.

June 2, 1:40 a.m.- Lind complainant informed dispatch of a suspect attempting to take a leaf blower from their truck.

June 2, 8:38 a.m. Deputy Seth Carlson dispatched to West Third Street in Lind for reports of threats.

June 2, 2:06 p.m.- A Lind complainant came to the Adams County Sheriffs office to report a credit card theft.

June 2, 6:51 p.m.- Deputy Klewin responded to West Second Street in Lind, complainant advised that a hose had been taken from their property.

June 2, 9:54 p.m.- Ritzville complainant advised that there were cattle loose on the property. Dispatch contacted responsible party to handle the situation.

June 3, 6:43 a.m.- Ritzville complainant advised that cattle were still on the property, Deputy Ned Bernath arrived on scene. Complainant advised that they had contacted the owner of the cattle and that the situation was now under control. Complainant called back later to advise that the owner of the cattle was rounding them up.

June 3, 9:22 p.m.- Dispatch was advised by complainant on Austin Road in Washtucna that he had shot subject who had shot at him, units arrived on scene and discovered one deceased male and took a second man into custody for investigation. The area was rendered safe and sealed off awaiting Washington State Crime Lab to process the scene.

June 4, 6:55 p.m.- Deputy Lane assisted Ritzville Police Department with an unsecure premise. Lane found the gate to the cell tower on Sage Road open. All appeared normal and the number on the fence was called to advise the site operators of the findings.

June 5, 12:56 a.m.- ADT alerted dispatch to an alarm on Lee Road in Lind. Deputy Lane checked the area and determined that the area was secure but was unable to contact the homeowner.

June 5, 8:13 a.m.- A complainant from West Third Street in Lind advised concern that a child was being left at home alone during periods of the day. Deputy Bernath contacted a parent via phone. The parent had been working near the residence and checked on the child hourly via phone. The parent advised that this is not normal.

June 6, 4:01 a.m.- ADT alerted dispatch of an alarm on East Lee Road in Lind. Deputy Lane checked the area and was unable to determine why the alarm was going off. Lane requested that day shift assist in contacting the homeowner.

June 6, 2:24 p.m.- Deputy Carlson was dispatched to East Seidl Road and North Hills Road in Sprague in reference to welfare check. Contacted one subject and transported them to Ritzville Hospital due to drug withdrawals.

June 6, 2:41 p.m.- Deputy Carlson advised by dispatch to call complainant in reference to fraud. Carlson was unable to reach them and left a voice mail.

June 6, 4:18 p.m.- Deputy Lane was called to West Second Street in Lind by a complainant who wanted the Sheriff’s Office to standby while they removed vending machines and similar items from their ex-wife’s home. Complainant was advised of what a Standby to Ensure Peace consisted of and was told to try and work things out with their ex-wife before contacting the court for assistance,

June 6, 11:50 p.m.- Deputy Klewin responded to a crash on North Hills Road. Subject had swerved to miss a herd of deer and left the road.

June 7, 7:56 a.m.- Deputy Lane responded to a report of vehicle prowl on Highway 261

June 7, 8:53 p.m.- Deputy Klewin responded to a report of a junk vehicle being stolen from North S Street in Lind. Through investigation it was discovered that the complainant was not the legal owner of the vehicle. The subject who took the vehicle had permission and the legal owner would be taking possession of the vehicle after it has been used in the demolition derby in Lind.

June 8, 10:36 a.m.- Deputy Lane assisted Washington State Patrol with a warrant arrest.

June 8, 6:23 p.m.- Deputy Klewin responded to East Lee Road. Klewin found the area secure with no signs of attempted entry. Klewin then called the homeowners cell phone and left a voicemail.

June 8, 9:16 p.m.- A sprinkler was spraying water onto Klein Road in Ritzville, the homeowner was contacted and advised of the situation.

June 8, 10:31 p.m.- A Ritzville complainant reported their daughter had been out with friends and had not yet returned. Deputy Klewin was later advised that the juvenile was back in Lind and that there had been a miscommunication.

June 9, 8:19 a.m.- Deputy Carlson responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Highway 261. The vehicle was recovered in Pend Oreille County.

June 9, 6:15 p.m.- Deputy Klewin responded to North Plager Road. The complainant reported that they had left their laptop on the kitchen table and when they had returned a week later it was missing.

June 10, 7:30 a.m.- Deputy Carlson was dispatched to North Paha-Packard Road for a report of a broken vehicle window.

June, 10 4:16 p.m.- Deputy Klewin responded to a report of a male pedestrian on Shrag Road. Klewin contacted the subject and found that they had left their home on Hoefel Road. The subject was returned to their family without incident.

June 10, 9:07 p.m.- Deputy Klewin found cattle loose on South Haase Road in Washtucna. Klewin advised the owner of the situation.

June 11, 10:07 a.m.- A complainant advised that someone had entered their shop on Wahl Road. The complainant didn’t believe anything had been taken and just wanted the Sheriff’s Office to be aware.

June 11, 4:29 p.m.- Deputy Lane responded to a report of a ladder in the roadway on North Benge–Ritzville Road. The ladder was returned to its owner.

June 12, 1:42 p.m.- A Washtucna complainant called to report that they had received a call advising that they had won a Mercedes and $5 million and in order to claim their prizes would have to purchase two green dot money paper pack cards. Complainant advised they had not purchased anything and wanted to make the Sheriff’s Office aware of the scam.

June 12, 3:12p.m.- Complainant requested extra patrol on North E Street in Lind. Complainant reported that a student who was banned from promotion had planned on showing up anyway.

June 12, 10:15 p.m.- Deputy Darryl Barnes was dispatched to a report of a collision with a deer on Highway 395. While en route rescue units advised that the vehicle was no longer at the scene and Barnes cleared from the call without incident.

June 13, 3:36 p.m.- Deputy Darryl Barnes responded to a 911 hang-up call on South Pence Road in Lind. Barnes found that the incident was caused by operator error.

June 14, 1:25 a.m.- Deputy Klewin responded to a report of a dispute at Love’s Truck Stop. When he arrived Sgt. Mark Cameron of the Ritzville Police Department had already settled the dispute and the two subjects left Ritzville.
