Feb. 22, 2:29 p.m. – Hatton complainant requested contact in reference to the neighbor’s Pit Bull acting in an aggressive manor. Deputy Montalvo made contact with the complainant, who advised that the dog had approached her and acted aggressively on her property. Montalvo contacted the dog’s owner and advised he would be mailed a certified letter along with the Adams County code reference for dogs.

Feb. 21, 11:15 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a back door to the residence on East Snowden Road had been kicked in. Deputy Lane responded and nothing appeared to be missing.

Feb. 21, 8:31 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of theft on St. Claire Avenue. Deputy Lane later determined nothing had been stolen, but the complainant believed it would be stolen at a later time. A subject was booked without incident for a warrant.

Feb. 21, 3:28 p.m. – Benge complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a matter where she sold a puppy to a subject, but they have stopped payments. Sergeant Buriak spoke with the complainant and determined it was a civil matter to be pursued in civil court. The complainant advised she would.

Feb. 21, 12:24 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of attempting contact with a male subject because he believed a dog might have bitten the subject. The male subject refused to talk to the complainant and threatened to call the police. Deputy Bernath responded and discovered a bit had not occurred.

Feb. 20, 7:35 p.m. – Hatton complainant advised of suspicious activity in the area and that several subjects were walking around adjacent properties with headlamps and flashlights. The complainant also advised they unloaded two truck beds of stuff she suspected were stolen. Deputy Boothman made contact and determined no illegal activity had occurred.

Feb. 20, 6:09 p.m. – Queen Creek, Ariz., complainant called to advise her protection order had been violated, as the subject had sent her harassing text messages. Deputy Montalvo made contact with the subject who advised she had not made direct contact with the complainant. On Feb. 21, Undersheriff Dale Wagner informed Montalvo that he had made a couple of phone calls and the matter was taken care of.

Feb. 19, 10:44 a.m. – Lind complainant advised he had not seen his daughter in two weeks, and has had some contact with her via the phone, but believes she has run away from home. Deputy Bernath entered the subject as a runaway and in the Washington Crime Information Center/National Crime Information Center.

Feb. 19, 10:35 a.m. – Child Protection Services (CPS) requested assistance with speaking to a Lind family in reference to their child coming home from school with a cut on his head. The family was not at the residence and CPS advised they would call back again.

Feb. 19, 8:04 a.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of an argument on South Thiel Street. Deputy Bernath made contact and both subjects advised no assault had taken place. The male subject advised they would be fine for the day and the female subject advised there might be more problems, due to the male’s behavior. After talking to both subjects some more, Bernath cleared and determined it was only a verbal disagreement at this time.
