Oct. 12, 5:18 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of a subject who has permission to clean up scrap metal on their property on East Tokio Road. Complainant further advised the subject will be in a white Ford pickup and a fifth wheel trailer.

Oct. 12, 2:23 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of hunters trespassing on their property on North Damon road and West Schrag Road. Sergeant Ben Buriak contacted the complainant who advised they learned the hunters were not on their property.

Oct. 12, 10:23 a.m. – Kennewick complainant advised they believe someone is inside the empty building on I Street in Lind. There is a ladder against the building and the side door is unlocked. Sergeant Buriak arrived with WSP Trooper Tyler Fryberger and searched the building. No subjects were found and no damage was observed inside the building.

Oct. 12, 7:56 a.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of hunters trespassing on North Batum Road and West Rosenoff Road. Sergeant Buriak contacted subjects in reference to the trespassing issue, they will be mailed criminal citations.

Oct. 12, 8:30 p.m. –

Spokane complainant requests extra patrols during daylight hours in the area of East Leisle road and North Klein Road in Ritzville due to hunting.

Oct. 11, 5:54 p.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of finding a male German shorthaired Pointer at a location on East Tokio Road and North Snyder Road. Complainant offered their phone number in case some one is looking for their dog.

Oct. 11, 5:50 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle speeding and spinning their tires on West Second Street. Deputy Ned Bernath contacted the residence where the vehicle is parked and was unable to get a reply at the door or by phone. Several hours later, Dep. Bernath contacted the registered owner of the vehicle and advised them of the situation.

Oct. 11, 2:07 p.m. – Washington State Patrol advised of a structure fire or a motor home fire on westbound I-90 near milepost 196. Fire units arrived on scene and advised of neither. Someone was burning leaves by a home on the south side of the road. Sergeant Buriak was advised to disregard.

Oct. 10, 3:16 p.m. – Adams County Superior Court requested a stand by for peace. Sergeant Buriak responded and stood by while the hearing took place.

Oct. 10, 7:25 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of a Volkswagen passenger car speeding through the area daily. Complainant further advised this is an ongoing problem and would like extra patrols in the area during this time.

Oct. 9, 5:10 p.m. –

Hooper complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle on South Gray Road in Washtucna. Deputy Bernath checked the vehicle and it was legally parked at the location but in an odd location. The vehicle was unoccupied.

Oct. 9, 12:36 p.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of a female subject harassing the complainant and slandering their name. Sergeant Buriak contacted the complainant and the female subject and advised them to leave each other alone. They advised they would.

Oct. 8, 2:55 p.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle parked in their driveway on South Highway 261. Sergeant Buriak checked the area and didn’t locate any parked vehicles.

Oct. 8, 2:06 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a stolen check that was cashed for over $1,300. Sergeant Buriak spoke with the complainant who further advised a subject had called the complainant who admitted to cashing the check but didn’t spend any of the money.

Oct. 8, 1:56 p.m. – Adams County Superior Court requested a stand by for peace. Sergeant Buriak responded and stood by while the hearing took place.

Oct. 8, 10:33 a.m. –

A complainant from Kennewick advised of a property damage concern on South Van Marter Avenue in Lind. Sergeant Buriak checked on the property in question and advised the complainant the damage situation is located at another location.

Oct. 7, 8:13 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of an open door at a location on West Second Street. Deputy Jeffrey Lane arrived with the responsible party and nothing was out of order. It appeared someone did not properly shut the door.

Oct. 7, 3:08 a.m. – City of Ritzville Police requested agency assistance with an activated burglary alarm on Smitty’s Boulevard. Deputy Lane responded and assisted as needed.

Oct. 6, 8:25 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a subject wearing dark clothing in the ditch on East Wellsandt Road. Deputy Lane checked the area but was unable to locate anyone.

Oct. 6, 1:30 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of five cows in their yard on North Deal Road. Sergeant Buriak contacted the responsible party who advised they would remove the cows from the property.

Oct. 6, 11:42 a.m. –

Ritzville complainant advised of an underage driver in a green pickup truck on West Second Street in Lind. Sergeant Buriak contacted the juveniles’ parents and explained the situation. They advised the juvenile was with a licensed driver and in a field flagging posts. Sgt. Buriak contacted the juvenile and warned them not to drive or be subject to criminal action.

Oct. 6, 7:02 a.m. –

Complainant from Goldendale advised of a two vehicle non-injury collision on East May Street and North Main Street in Washtucna. Sergeant Buriak contacted the scene and determined the subject fell asleep and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Oct. 5, 8:36 p.m. – City of Ritzville Police requested agency assistance for a possible domestic on East Third Avenue. Deputy Lane responded and assisted as needed.

Oct. 4, 12:48 p.m. –

Complainant from Republic advised of two subjects who inquired about cutting trees at a location on Sprague Avenue in Lind. The complainant further advised the subjects stated they noticed the complainant’s shop had been broken into. Sergeant Taylor completed the report.

Oct. 4, 11:40 a.m. –

Deputy Darryl Barnes responded to an agency assist call on South Pence Road at the Country Plaza. Dispatch advised of a allergic reaction to a bee sting. Dep. Barnes arrived on scene and determined initial first aid had been administered.

Oct. 3, 9:46 p.m. – City of Ritzville Police requested agency assistance for a possible domestic on East Third Avenue. Deputy Lane responded and assisted as needed.

Oct. 3, 7:44 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a white Impala that has been at a residence on North Wahl Road and the homeowners are not there. Deputy Lane checked the home and buildings and all was secure. Dep. Lane advised the homeowner of the situation.

Oct. 3, 6:55 p.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of two suspicious female subjects in the area of North Main Street. Deputy Lane contacted the subjects who advised they had broken down and were waiting for a ride from Pullman.

Oct. 3, 3:38 p.m. – A complainant from Republic advised of a cold burglary at a location on Sprague Avenue in Lind. Sergeant Buriak contacted the complainant who showed a large hole in the west wall of the shop. A portable welder was moved near the hole from the other side of the shop but nothing appeared to be missing. Shoe prints were located and photographed.

Oct. 3, 3:23 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of company equipment vandalized at a location on West Griffith Road in Odessa. Deputy Lane filed a report of items vandalized.

Oct. 3, 3:21 p.m. – Sergeant Buriak responded to an animal bite victim at East Adams Rural Hospital. A 12-year-old victim was bitten in the lip by a one-year-old Blue Heeler dog. The owner informed Sgt. Buriak the dog is up to date on all shots and no stitches were needed for the bite.

Oct. 3, 9:50 a.m. – Adams County Superior Court requested officer stand by to ensure the peace. Sergeant Buriak stood by.

Oct. 2, 4:52 p.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of three missing bulls in the area of East Herman Road. Deputy Lane recorded the description of the animals.

Oct. 2, 4:05 p.m. – Benge complainant advised of trespassers on South Dyer Road in Washtucna. Complainant advised Deputy Lane of finding garbage evidence found on the property and requests extra patrols in the area.

Oct. 1, 11:02 a.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of mail in the boxes at Sutton Road and South Highway 261 have been stolen daily for the past week. Sergeant Buriak contacted area residences to confirm if the mail was being stolen. One resident believed to be missing mail, but a second did not.
