Investing in Our Youth: Livestock sale totals over $116,000

The annual Wheat Land Communities’ Fair livestock auction drew a large amount of buyers, while simultaneously breaking sale records by netting $116,299 for local exhibitors. The sale record breaks the one set last year by around $17,000.

The Saturday afternoon auction on Aug. 31 featured over 50 exhibitors with a total of 91 animals being sold at the auction. The amount of total livestock sold was up slightly from the previous year, but overall comparable to the numbers recorded within the last few years.
