June 15, 11:02 p.m. – Hatton complainant advised of loud music coming from an address on Bronson Street. Deputy Brad Zook contacted a subject at the residence and advised them to turn down the music.

June 15, 8:50 p.m. – City of Othello Police requested agency assistance with an unruly prisoner on northbound 395 near milepost 78. Deputy Jeffrey Lane responded and assisted as needed.

June 15, 7:16 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a blue pickup with a trailer occupied by four subjects who stopped on North I Street asking for scrap. Complainant advised Deputy Lane the vehicle left in an unknown direction.

June 15, 4:40 p.m. – Washington State Patrol requested assistance with an occupied stolen vehicle on eastbound Interstate 90 near milepost 206. Deputy Lane responded to assist.

June 14, 2:10 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of cows out near the roadway on East Rosenoff Road and North Schoonover Road. Deputy Aaron Madison checked the area and located cows in a field behind a single wire hot fence. All cows were in the field and none were near the roadway.

June 14, 9:17 a.m. – Dispatch advised of a hold up alarm at a location on West Galbreath Way in Ritzville. While en route, Deputy Madison was notified to disregard due to an employee who unknowingly pushed the alarm.

June 13, 4:33 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a horse in the road on East Hatton Road. Deputy Ned Bernath arrived on scene and after contacting several local residences determined the listed owner of the horse. Dep. Bernath contacted the owner of the horse and they arrived on scene to secure it.

June 12, 7:55 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised they drove past an address on North Highway 261 when a tan hound dog came into the roadway and was aggressive toward them. Deputy Dan Verhey contacted the dog owner to discuss the dog’s behavior and advised the owner any further calls would incur a dangerous dog letter to be issued.

June 12, 7:38 p.m. – Dispatch advised of a citizen assist on Third Avenue in Hatton. Upon Deputy Zook’s arrival, the complainant stated they just wanted to thank law enforcement for their work.

June 12, 7:02 p.m. – Hatton complainant advised of a suspicious vehicle parked near the grain elevator on Cherry Street. The vehicle was gone from the location upon Deputy Zook’s arrival.

June 12, 10:26 a.m. – Lind complainant advised of a vehicle stolen from their property on East Second Street. Deputy Bernath responded to file the report.

June 12, 8:08 a.m. – Dispatch advised of a hold up type alarm at a location on West Third Avenue in Ritzville. Deputy Bernath arrived on scene and learned the owner was fine, they were trying to reset their system.

June 11, 11:48 p.m. – City of Ritzville Police requested agency assistance with a possible burglary in progress on East Eighth Avenue. Deputy Lane responded to investigate.

June 11, 11:30 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a vehicle parked near East Danekas Road that seemed out of place. The vehicle owner was contacted and advised it broke down and he will remove the vehicle in the next day or two.

June 11, 5:56 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of an animal problem on East Third Street. Complainant advised their neighbor has cats and the tails are now missing on three of them. Deputy Lane responded to file the report.

June 11, 9:26 a.m. –

Martin Hall requested assistance with a juvenile that was threatening staff in the parking lot of the sheriff’s office. Deputy Bernath arrived and the juvenile decided to be cooperative. Dep. Bernath assisted with transporting the juvenile to court and stood by during the proceedings.

June 10, 11:09 a.m. – Complainant from Fairfield requested contact in reference to their vehicle being keyed at the combine derby in Lind. Deputy Madison spoke to the complainant by telephone who advised sometime after 6 p.m. on June 8 the vehicle got keyed. The damage starts near the driver side headlight and goes all the way down the driver’s side to the tailgate of the truck. The complainant advised Dep. Madison they would send photos of the damage.

June 10, 10:36 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a suspicious female walking on North Moody Road and West Rosenoff Road. Deputy Madison attempted to contact the female but she did not want a ride and did not want to cooperate in providing her name or date of birth.

June 9, 9:56 p.m. – Washtucna complainant advised of a phone call from a male subject that was speaking in a threatening tone insisting a note was left on their car with the complainant’s phone number. Deputy Ben Buriak contacted the complainant and wasn’t able to get any information about the caller. Complainant advised none of his vehicles had been in any collisions and believes it was a scam to get money.

June 9, 1:00 p.m. – Dispatch advised of people trespassing in the Cow Lake area and riding four-wheelers in the lake. Deputy Lane contacted the parties involved and discussed proper four-wheeler use and trespassing.

June 9, 12:20 p.m. – Ritzville complainant was assaulted by a subject on West Sixth Street in Lind. Deputy Lane responded to file the report.

June 9, 8:38 a.m. – Lind complainant advised approximately 20 cases of beer were stolen from the beer garden at the derby grounds. Deputy Lane responded to investigate.

June 8, 11:41 p.m. – Complainant from Goldendale advised of a stolen vehicle on North I Street in Lind. Prior to units arriving, dispatch advised the vehicle had returned and the situation was a misunderstanding.

June 8, 7:56 p.m. – Medical Lake complainant contacted Deputy Zook and advised their wife was attempting to drive from Lind while intoxicated. Dep. Zook contacted the female subject who advised they were waiting for a friend to pick them up and that her and the complainant and been arguing. The complainant and his wife reconciled and agreed to drive home together.

June 8, 7:56 p.m. – Deputy Buriak contacted a male subject on East Second Street who was highly intoxicated and kicked out of the beer garden at the derby. Dep. Buriak escorted the subject off the property and gave them a courtesy ride to their residence.

June 8, 8:15 p.m. – Dispatch advised of a male subject with a head injury at the north end of the fairgrounds on East Second Street in Lind. Deputy Zook contacted the male subject who stated they were injured when a Razor ATV rolled over, while they were intoxicated. It was determined the subject was a passenger when the vehicle rolled and they received medical treatment at the scene by paramedics.

June 8, 6:55 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of finding three goats on East Lind-Warden Road during the night. Complainant further advised they brought them home to feed and water them since the owner could not be located. Deputy Verhey attempted to locate the owner but was unable to. Complainant advised they would be willing to keep the goats if the owner can not be located.

June 8, 4:28 p.m. – Dispatch advised of a silent alarm on West First Street in Lind. Deputy Verhey contacted a subject who was the ex-spouse of the property owner. The property owner was contacted and permission received for the subject to be there.

June 8, 11:47 a.m. – Complainant from Shoreline advised a subject drove through their yard on East Second Street in Lind with a four wheeler. Deputy Lane contacted the driver who apologized for their actions.

June 8, 11:30 a.m. – A complainant from Milton, Wash., advised of contacting subjects selling tamales from their home on Second Street in Lind without a license. When they were told to stop they began a verbal argument. Deputy Lane responded and advised the subjects to stop selling without a license.

June 7, 10:49 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a two car non-injury collision on North S Street and East Fourth Street. Deputy Buriak responded to complete the reports.

June 7, 9:08 p.m. – Adams County Jail requested deputy standby so an inmate could be taken to the hospital. Deputy Verhey arrived and assisted as needed.

June 7, 7:14 p.m. – Dispatch advised of a door open at a location of West Second Street in Lind. The complainant hung up when they observed a subject coming out of the building. Deputy Verhey checked all doors and did not find any problems. Dep. Verhey attempted to contact the owner.

June 7, 6:12 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a male subject they wanted trespassed from their property on North Hoefel Lane. Deputy Verhey and Sergeant Brian Taylor contacted the complainant at the location who advised they had chased the subject in a brown Dodge four-door car off the property and onto I-90 but stopped at Paha Packard Road. Ritzville City units were notified of the described vehicle and subject.

June 7, 4:32 p.m. – Moses Lake complainant advised of a suspicious male subject walking on West Lind-Warden Road with three goats. Deputy Verhey arrived to check the area and was unable to locate the described subject.

June 7, 1:43 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a package stolen from their mailbox on North Klein Road. Dep. Bernath spoke to the complainant via telephone to gather the necessary information.

June 7, 9:58 a.m. – Dispatch advised of a possible burglary in progress on South Thiel Street in Washtucna. Complainant believed the subjects did not have permission to be there. Deputy Bernath spoke with the property owner at their work who advised the subjects had permission and all was fine. Dep. Bernath learned of a property dispute between the property owner and the complainant and advised both parties to consult their attorneys regarding the dispute.

June 7, 9:38 a.m. – Adams County Superior Court Clerk requested contact in reference to damage done to a bench in the court. Deputy Bernath responded to take the report.

June 7, 6:41 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a subject trespassing on their property on North Hoefel Lane. Complainant further advised the subject was trespassed from their neighbor’s property earlier that morning. Deputy Bernath arrived and detained the subject. The subject was out of gas and trying to get to Othello. Dep. Bernath transported the subject as far as Warden City limits.

June 7, 5:14 a.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of three subjects sitting in a pickup that they wished to have trespassed from the property on North Hoefel Lane. Deputy Bernath attempted to contact the subjects in the vehicle and found one male subject. The subject advised a female subject and her teenage son left on foot. Dep. Bernath searched the area extensively and was unable to locate the other two subjects.

June 7, 1:00 a.m. – Dispatch advised of a suspicious 911 hang up call on West Second Street in Lind. Deputy Buriak contacted the residence and it appeared to have been vacant for some time.

June 7, 12:53 a.m. – City of Ritzville Police requested agency assistance with a domestic dispute on East First Avenue. Deputy Buriak responded to assist. It was determined no assault occurred. Sergeant Taylor was advised of the assist.

June 6, 9:03 p.m. – Complainant from Shoreline advised of a parking problem on East Second Street in Lind. Deputy Buriak contacted both parties and advised them of the proper places to park.

June 6, 4:44 p.m. – A report was generated for a possible sex offender registration violation in Ritzville.

June 6, 1:35 p.m. – Lind complainant requested assistance with several hulk vehicles on East Hatton Road. Deputy Bernath spoke to the complainant and arranged a time to meet about the vehicles.

June 6, 12:29 p.m. – Deputy Bernath was advised of several head of cattle out on North Marcellus Road and East Harder Road in Ritzville. Dep. Bernath responded and located five and placed them back in the pasture with other cattle that had matching brands.

June 6, 10:56 a.m. – Vancouver complainant requested contacted in reference to a missing persons case from nine years ago in Kittitas County that has ties to Adams County. Deputy Bernath contacted the complainant by telephone who advised they would email the information to the sheriff’s department.

June 6, 10:52 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a possible threat on Weber Road. Deputy Bernath spoke to all parties involved and collected their statements.

June 5, 7:38 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a derby car driving fast through the alley on East Fourth Street. Deputy Verhey checked the area and was unable to find any derby cars traveling through town.

June 5, 7:05 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised their pickup and trailer broke down on West First Street in Lind. The complainant requested extra patrols until they can return to retrieve the vehicle.

June 5, 9:10 a.m. – Lind complainant advised a subject subcontracting in the area moved the complainant’s personal equipment, causing damage in the process. The complainant further advised the subject threatened to knock down the fence before vacating the property. Deputy Bernath spoke to the complainant who wanted the situation documented.

June 5, 8:49 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised they were concerned with the renters at the fairgrounds for the weekend and requested extra patrols in the area. Deputy Verhey drove through the area and observed gate guards and all the proper permits for the event.

June 4, 5:02 p.m. – Whitman County Sheriff advised of a pursuit expecting to enter Adams County. While en route, Deputy Lane was advised of a collision prior to entering the county and disregarded the call.

June 4, 4:13 p.m. – Ritzville complainant advised of a scam phone call. The complainant advised the caller requested insurance to be bought for a package of $75,000 to be shipped to their address. Deputy Lane called the number for the caller who advised they will confirm the payment the next day.

June 4, 12:14 p.m. – Deputy Bernath received a call advising of an alarm at a location on East Schoessler Road in Ritzville. Dep. Bernath and Sergeant Taylor checked the location and everything was locked. The owner was contacted who advised their repairman was there and had a key.

June 4, 7:23 a.m. – Lind complainant advised pig pens were opened during the night on North E Street. Complainant is requesting extra patrols at night.

June 3, 5:33 p.m. – Lind complainant reported someone tried to enter their home while they were away. At this time nothing appears to be gained and nothing missing.

June 3, 12:25 p.m. – Seattle complainant arrived at the sheriff’s office requesting to speak to a deputy about a situation on their father’s property. Deputy Bernath spoke with the complainant who advised a tree had been cut and landed on a homemade barbecue on the property on East Second Street in Lind. Dep. Bernath contacted the owner of the fallen tree who advised they will be cleaning up the area.

June 3, 10:32 a.m. – Lind complainant requested deputy contact in reference to what can be done about a subject throwing spoiled meat into their yard on Vulcan Street. Deputy Bernath provided the complainant with a number to the health department.

June 3, 9:51 a.m. – Deputy Bernath received report of an alarm in the 200 block of West Broadway Avenue. Dep. Bernath contacted several employees in the area and no problem was detected.

June 3, 2:15 a.m. – While on patrol Deputy Madison located an open door at location on South Highway 21 in Lind. Nothing appeared disturbed or out of the ordinary. Dep. Madison secured the door and cleared.

June 2, 6:15 p.m. – Lind complainant advised of a vehicle driving fast on West Main Street and then parked on West Main. Deputy Verhey contacted the subject who was found to be driving while license suspended in the third with ignition interlock required. The subject also had two warrants for failure to appear on DUI charges. The subject had extensive health issues that did not allow him to be booked on the warrant.
